Hi this is my first post and i've been following this thread off and on but don't know if this has been brought up so forgive me if it has, but has anyone realized this seems to be a lot like Stubburn Dredvodd that pops in Phanauet Channel? When the NM was first added people were guessing at exactly the same theories that are being made about AA. Actually they were a tad sillier but as it turned out the NM was just on a standard 21-24 NM (my experience anyways, i've had competition show up for the windows as well as hackers >.< so i'm not the only one to see the pattern) but the reason people have an extreamly hard time getting the window is because you can't stay logged in 21-24hrs on a ship, it boots you off after every 15 minutes. So people give up and leave after a few hours, always eventually coming up with really wild ideas. Someone earlier mentioned that apkallu swim on to the boat they don't 'pop' and that no other mob in the game does this, well that is wrong, it is exactly how (well almost) Stubborn Dredvodd pops only he jumps onto the ship. I think everyone is really reading far to into this. It's like SE said, the reason it hasn't been seen is because most people only ride the ship TO Nashamu and not back to Whitegate. The people that HAVE rode the ship from Nahsamu to Whitegate havn't ridden it an entire day. They've only done it a few hours. I'm not ready to test this yet as i'm focused on another NM atm but I suggest riding it a few hours every day, and always start 3 hours earlier the next day. That way you will make sure to correct for the 3hr variable with the window so you won't miss it when you go back. The things they have in common seem to be the drops (dragoon boots and MP item) the length of the boat ride (15 minutes) and that neither of them 'pop', they jump/swim onto the boat. My theory as to the apkallu hate system is just to make the NM harder with links, however this is just my theory. I could be way off ^.^

i've riden the boat an entire week for the duration of 4-12 hours each time, over the same 12hour period and seen nothing unusual nor the nm. at various times i've had 2-3(at one point up to 6) people on the boat with me. during that time i didn't miss a single ride. i'm pretty sure the "it doesn't like to be lonely" is refering to the fact it obviously depops if spawns and no one kills it.

if the SE rep is reading this can they subtly confirm or deny that any of our tests have been in the right direction?

i know which way it pops and i read all pages. if you havent noticed this is the internet and MOST of these ppl dont know their ass from their elbow. but then you should know im sure theres a mirror somewhere
