I'm lazy and don't feel like quoting it but if I may have some input and try and clarify something. They did say they would give a cryptic answer and I believe that is why they worded their responses in such an odd way. Tbh I think if I had to analyze this - which I have, along with others - we have concluded on what seems possible. Since I love semantics (lolme) it seems that they are trying to draw out attention to the words 'three' and 'series'. As I don't think that it spawns as part of a quest, and since we know it spawns on the boat one way, I am lost why they used the word series. It may be an interruption problem or some crap if it was translated.

As anyone can guess, the word three has to do with some stupid spawn condition. I believe it has to do with the number '3' or they would not have made such an lolSE like statement. I'm going to go fuck around with the number 3 and different ideas.

Oh, one quick question. If I read the dats right there are only 2 apkallu that can be up at once right? Could he possibly work like Cactrot?

Oh and 10 bucks says it has something to do with them fixing the ebisu fishing rod with one of the recent update (I would lol if I was right)

I don't know how any of you read that as "It doesn't drop it, this question belongs elsewhere."

You could read it as:

1) Does it exist?
2) How do you pop it?
3) What does it drop?

The number 3 isn't a clue. There are three questions asked all within the same category (That being Almighty Apkallu). If they had answered "This isn't relevant in a series of questions about the Almighty Apkallu." instead, I would have to agree it didn't drop it - Because that would imply that it dropped from something we have already killed.

Ugh, really want this cape :/ Went on a few trips last night, just sleeping the Apkallu, to no avail. With "luck" involved, it's likely it will hard to replicate once someone has popped it. Especially if there are windows involved :/

More than likely they were being evasive and referring to the point that there is never anyone camping it so thats why you never see it. If it was camped like other basic NM's 24/7 for the most part we might actually see it.

But since were reading too far into things anyways maybe they are saying there needs to be more than one person on the boat for AA to be interested enough to jump in.

Can you charm apkallu? Could require a BST or BRD to charm the mobs. It could be the "friend" they were talking about.
