    "Problem caused by Device Driver"

I got this today from an automatically loaded Microsoft webpage:

You received this message because a device driver installed on your computer caused the Windows operating system to stop unexpectedly. This type of error is referred to as a "stop error." A stop error requires you to restart your computer.
I somewhat understand it but the only problem is I really have no idea how to identify how it needs to be fixed, or how it even happened in the first place.

This used to happen a lot when I'd run bittorrent but now it seems to run just fine (although I think Bittorrent was running in the background this time too, but it had been running for a couple hours seeding I think), when it crashed all I was doing was Music + AFK in FFXI watching some TV (DRK LFG D'

Anyway, any help is appreciated, thanks.

Usually somewhere in the error message it tells you the name of the device driver, you may have to check event viewer for it.

When I see it happen to me, its usually the display driver, nv-something because I have an nvidia card, even though I wasn't doing anything that would've required anything weird from the video card. I've had it happen 1 time on a ethernet driver as well. Sometimes its just a one time fluke error, you can ignore it and it won't come back, but if its consistent I'd recommend you upgrade whatever device driver it says is failing to the newest version from the manufacturer's website.

Check event viewer (under Administrative tools on the control panel) and view the entries about the time the crash occurred. Double check that you have updated drivers. Also, check to see how much free space you have on your hard drive/ clean up/ defrag the system
