Updating Wiki

Is it just me or is no one really doing a lot of editing anymore? A lot of the quests are undone and a lo tof the smaller stuff is about the same. I guess i'm expecting too much in the whole thing being done in about two weeks, how long did it take the other wiki to get situated? Also I think there should be some rule against editing something and just putting a template(especially if its a wrong one) because then it hides the fact that it has no information on it making it harder to show that it needs editing.

I assure you, I have some good excuses for the lack of History page being complete! Seriously, having my main PC die on me is more than just a bit annoying! But I'll be working on it very soon.

In any case, I'd hope we can be 80% complete by the time WotG rolls out. Our progress is slow(but not extremely slow, especially compare to other sites anyway), but I see our quality being very high. One may say time is saved if things are done right now and not fixed later. And that's what's slowing us down really. We are still waiting on things like the Main Page and categories to be sorted out. Comes with the territory of making a huge database.

Now on people not editing a lot, uh, I don't know if that's true exactly. I'm sure a lot of people are turned off by the fact they need to create right now instead of just edit. Also, perhaps some of those people rallying behind the BG-Wiki at the start were just bandwagoners.

Was actually refering to knuckles putting up templates on all the blue magic spells now I have to click each and everyone of them to edit em (annoying). Also he put the physical templates for magic spells too but i'm more concerned about it being harder to pick apart which ones are finished and which ones arent.

I plan on doing some dog work (items, etc) as soon as school lays off just a little.

I'm lvling RDM, and for some reason invites in the 30s are retarded, so I'll be having a lot of time to update.

Hopefully people start before i can (will be a week or two I think) but by then, you'll have at least one more, just going page by page looking for red links.

On a sitenote I wanted to start adding stuff and I found the templates for it too.

So how do I get the source code for this Template?

Either click on the template and choose the View Source section, or on the new page you're creating put in {{Template:Whatever}}. So {{Template:Limbus}} in this case.

Also, I'll be working on the wiki (mostly the craft sections) when I get free time at work

I've been talking about issues about the frontpage since the beginning really. The sidebar and the quicknav can only be editted by the highest tier of moderators. It's been quite awhile, I'll have to bother them again.

I don't think we have anything for leveling spots yet, and I was under the impression that we were combining BCNM, KSNM, ISNM, and ENM together in one line.

The windower range thing is iffy. Its technically not part of the original game, and we don't want the wiki to come off so much as pro-windower (even if it is PC goodness). Plus, this is something that can be up for debate a bit (IE spell ranges are different depending on the target). Can be something we look into but personally I'd say no.

The letter thing was noted by sonomaa. we do have a rep from SE here browsing the forums on occasion that we can pass things to.

Template: Limbus was put together by someone else before it was handed off to me. Single and Floored have been ready for use for a long while.

However, another big thing is for me to go back to redo or truly template some of the work that is pre-existing, I can't access them right off the bat.

And it should remain as is. I think the forums have a higher probability of getting things done when it comes to relaying suggestions and the like to SE. The wiki is for information; it is not your personal soap box (unless it's your User: page, that is).

Need people to fill in which zones those go in, as well as extend the format for KSNMs, ISNMs, ENMs, and hey a better header text with a spiffy image would do well too.

Leveling spots, that's a bit subjective to go under Category:Battlefields.

Putting together a guide with all the common party or solo xp spots is a great idea though, and heck if there is enough interest we could put it all into Category:Leveling Spots with a nice big article to go with it.

I'm currently doing the sandy quests that are simple, like the repeatable ones. I don't have any walkthrough for them at the moment, but I can go back later and add for ones that I've done before. If anyone would like to double check to see if I'm not screwing stuff up, you're more than welcomed.

I think a good start, and one that I'll be doing shortly, is going through each of our inventories and getting screenshots of everything each of us has... and action shots if it's wearable. I've just gone through the screenshots I have with me and uploaded applicable stuff. More pending.
