The Draugar (Pankration) page should be combined with the currently unexistent Skeleton page... unless they have different FP gain?

They also have different TP moves, as well. Not sure if you would want to combine two different mobs.Originally Posted by BRP

But they also have Skeleton WSes. Monsters with new skins and addtional WSes wasn't a rare thing in ToAU. Eruca being a prime example. What would really separate them is the difference in TP gain.
Which is why Eruca and Crawler would have different wiki pages, as well as Raptors that breath fire and ones that breath ice (I'd imagine), etc.Originally Posted by BRP
It's very easy just to make on the raptor page where/what raptors do what. "Raptors in CoP areas do this" or "Raptors in Ulecantpselll Range do this". Could even separate types by color. Wyrms have not been separated, but they have different breaths, wings, and (potentially) blasts. The same can be done for any variant.
For reference, if you capture a Skeleton, Draugar, Eruca, and Crawler on soulplates and make them into soul reflectors, what monster family will show up when you check on them in Pankration? Just Skeleton and Crawler? Or Skeleton, Draugar, Eruca, and Crawler?
Hmmm, I check for sure right now, but I'm pretty sure Pit Antlions are simply refered to as Antlions by NPCs. I doubt it would be any different for others. I suppose it's possible.
They're just listed as the base family. Pit ants are just ants, eruca's are just crawlers, and so on. They don't get differentiated.
They get listed as skeletons, but they have different jobs available to them from the ghoul-type skeletons. They also look different and have different TP moves. Ghoul-type blms tend to cast ice more then draugar-type blms.
Ghouls can be BLM and WAR from the start, and Draugar can be BLM WAR DRG THF from the start.
They should both be listed on the (non-existant) skeleton page, but that page should link to their respective skeleton types imo.
What job they are at start doesn't matter too much. Do they have the same FP and can be all the same jobs via plates? If both are yes, I don't see why they would need to have more than one page. Just include information on both subspecies.
wtf are you serious?Originally Posted by BRP
I have to agree with this, starting with the job you want does matter. The fact that this mob family basically lets you choose your starting job, makes it different then other pankration pets. Who cares if they start with the same FP if one can only start as 2 jobs, thus wasting FP to get one of the other jobs. 8FP saved without having to hunt down a specific NM, is a good thing and relevant.Originally Posted by Maxxthepenguin
Also jobs that start as a magical class do not require a scroll plate, that also makes it relevant. So what if a ghoul can be changed into a drk and starts with the same FP. If you have to pay 8 FP for drk job then add black magic scrolls, it is not nearly the same as starting as a DRK draugar.
When I say it doesn't matter, I mean it isn't worth making a separate monster page over. There is already a slot that can list what are the potential starting jobs. What would make it worthy for it's own page are the two things I listed: separate FP gain and different potential jobs.Originally Posted by rath
Whats fun is hunting obscure NMs for special advantages for your pets.
I went out and hunted down Mountain Worm for some worm pics, and its plates all start with /rdm
Whee for free hp/mp, and fast cast if I choose to unlock its subjob traits!
Do you mean starts with a mage main? Because every NM that starts with a mage sub that I've ever used has needed a plate.Originally Posted by rath

Don't bother with Ose. She comes with no subjob, no special traits (go go go nothing better than lizard killer!), no more FP, nothing. And, when killed in the Pit, no AJ drops. ; ;

Fun Fact: NMs were originally on the Pankration Monster Info page to make it easier to see the really cool ones.
And Draugars were meant to be separated into different jobs.
Basically, the page was once meant to be more useful than just an index.
Okay so you, or someone else, did what you suggested. But instead of renaming the draugar page to skeleton and adding the ghoul-type skeleton info to it, they just linked it to a blank skeleton page.Originally Posted by BRP
Edit: Filled out the pankration skeleton page and added ghoul-type and draugar-type info to it.
Wasn't me, I just left it there for someone else do it, I didn't know how to handle it. I'd like to get confirmation that they share the same FP total and potential jobs.
It's a index for the contents in the category. And I wouldn't call it just an index, it's also a nice quick reference page. You still haven't listed any advantages to having it your way, which would be cluttered. If someone wanted to see information on Crawlers in Pankration(without knowing how to access the Crawler (Pankration) page), they shouldn't have to deal with every NM in the game, let alone every single monster in the game of every family. Can you stop complaining about it?Basically, the page was once meant to be more useful than just an index.
And if somebody wanted to have a BLM/RDM base mob they would have to go through every mob family and sort through it to find what starts as that.Originally Posted by BRP
What you call cluttered I call informative.
And we wouldn't have every monster, we would only have monsters that are NOT the standard listed.
