Need help Re-Installing FFXI

I'm fairly competant with computers. My HDD is on it's way out :/ I backed up everything I can, and I have a new HDD ready to re-install Windows. My problem is that I dont have my POL/FFXI CDs as I lent them to a friend a year ago. Is there any easy way to copy the files and maybe 2-3 groups of regkeys to "transplant" FFXI over to the new HDD/OS? Or am I screwed and just need to find copies/torrents of the original CDs?

Grab your whole PlayOnline folder, and the following registry keys:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\PlayOnlineUS (US version)
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\PlayOnline (JP version)
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\SQUARE CO.,LTD. (Both, I think? Not sure)

Hope you're not EU, cause I've never played with EU POL, but I'd imagine it'd be like above but PlayOnlineEU or something. If you're installing on a different drive letter or something similar, make sure that you update the paths in PlayOnlineUS\InstallFolder.

Is it a tried and true method I know there are a ton of class keys too (Yea it's the US version.)

I've done it a few times. If you're worried about class entries, use the downloadable POL installer and just copy the files and registry keys over after it's done. It'll give an error the first time you start it up, but just smile and nod and tell it to retry and it'll work fine.

That's in a folder called polus, so I'm guessing it's not going to work with EU version? I really wish SE would make reinstallnig easier.
