The RMT never left the coloseum, so they can't be npc'ing anything. Not sure wtf they were doing unless they were giving soul plates to other people (except they are r/ex so..)

Wouldn't it be more feasible to just AH the coins they would use to get the points for the plates in the first place? Unless there was an exploit for them to get tons of points somehow for free... >.> I dunno. RMT seem like they're getting very desperate lately. Go go STF Unit!

You would think RMT might spam ISNMs with their points in hope for Khroma Ores. Or yes, spend their hard earned ISP from leveling their loljobs to 75 on Gold/Silver Coins to bazaar.

I don't think I've seen rmt groups attempt ISNMs yet..

is it possible they were duping imperial currency in some fashion? was there a sudden glut of currency on the market? just a thought, i've no idea how they could do it, but there's no gil involved so it has to be with his items. none of the soulplates have any market value, so the only thing left are the coins that he takes.

A JP member in our shell mentioned last night that people on the JP BBS were saying Imp. Gold Pieces were duped somehow by that NPC. I refuse to do anything pankration related, I haven't even ever been in Colosseum, so can anyone confirm or speculate that knows that NPC's bahaviour? O_O;

I don't think they meant figure it out so we can do it as well, just figure it out so we know what the glitch was that RMT were abusing

i'd love to know how it was done just because i find those sorts of things fascinating, not because i want to exploit them. it's the geek drive of loving taking things apart only for the sake of understanding how they work.

Maybe it involved trading a coin, d/cing, then logging in and talking to him again then cancelling the point conversion and getting a coin back while still having the original in your inventory or something.

To d/c and relogin every time for a gold coin sounds like a slow way to earn money... but multiplied over all the RMTs doing it at once, they'll make billions! Afterall, they first tried to mine and farm normally, then they abused the selbina quest which was incredibly slow as is, then Varchet for 5 gil at a time but with the chance to win being slightly higher than the chance to lose so they'd make a profit over a large enough number of trials, and finally this.

I forsee their next scheme will be to repeatedly do the Luck Rune quest, and selling the free crystals they get from the Luck Rune targets in the various zones.
