Only prediction I feel confident about is Silva winning. Vera seems much more skilled, but Tim's size has made him beat more skilled fighters in the past so I really have no clue how this fight will go.

The way the crowd and people in general treat Sylvia simply pisses me off. I can understand how people were upset when he was defending his title. He defended his title... defensively. Defensive fights tend to be boring.

But now he is aware of the crowd's attitude and seems out to fix it. He brought out the old school Sylvia tonight. Hell Id say he brought out a better Sylvia. His endurance training showed, busting out nasty combos even in the last minutes of the last two rounds.

He destroyed Brandon point wise, cut the dude's head open, and Brandon even broke his hand on Sylvia. It was a great show, yet the crowd still boo'd him.

I hope its the sign of good things to come for Sylvia. He has a lot of potential and seems more aware of what to do if he ever wants his title back. When he starts to face more serious, veteran fighters again, it can prove to be some pretty awesome shows.

EDIT: BTW I think Anderson is unstoppable.

Pinning an undersized HW against the cage is not what I would call trying to redeem oneself in front of the fans. He used to fight for the win/knockout but pretty much since his fights with arlovski he has just jabbed and fought his way to decision wins as much as possible. Sure his boring style is good for winning but it won't be a crown pleaser anytime soon, plus he looks so weird which is annoying too lol.

I expected the silva vs franklin fight to be as 1 sided as it was. There really isn't a middleweight in the UFC who can beat him, henderson would have to drop down in weight, or paulo filho would have to agree to fight his friend (Silva) which he says he wouldn't want to. If hendo did drop down in weight it would be an interesting fight and I'm really not sure who would take that.

I want to see the Okami fight that wasn't aired, so if anyone finds out where its hosted or available to dl that would be great.

henderson holds the pride 183lbs belt, it wouldn't be a stretch for him. Also, if Matt Hughes does not beat Matt Serra, he'll go up to middleweight for his last few fights, which may include a title shot.

Henderson is not very happy with the UFC atm, and only has 1 fight left on his contract. Unless they agree to pay him more like he believes he should be making then it looks like they'll have a rather dry middle weight division.

As for Sylvia, he clearly won, but it was size and strength. He asked for Kongo next because he doesn't want to fight Nog, because he just started a comeback, and getting his ass whopped would put a stop to that.

Tim Sylvia's attitude is just terrible in general. He bashes each of the fighters he's going to face, he makes fans pay for autographs, and he's just a 6'8" genuine douchebag. Add that to the fact that he looks like a troll and his fights ALWAYS suck, you're bound to get people that don't like him. I'm included in those people, I'd boo the hell out of him.

Anderson and Franklin had a lot of respect for each other. Good fight, but I think Franklin is way out of Silva's league.

yea I was kinda mad about that. you'd think after getting dominated the first time with those knees, he would look into finding a way to defend against them, or just stay away from the thai clinch.
