Lsmate is 0/706ish now on Liks. He's been doing his best to fish them with Lu but his catch rate definitely sucks compared to mine. I didn't realize how much faster Ebisu pulls them in over a few hours until we were both fishing out here and I ended up with like 30 and he had 10ish.

Ya, that was annoying in Nashmau. I've been on Liks since 90 so really haven't had to deal with it since then.

I really hate it when I'm on the ferry. I'm sitting there in my spot all happy, and some Mithra comes up and stands RIGHT ON TOP OF ME and STARTS TO FISH. I'm just like, wtf, your being there just made me not fish up this Gugrusaurus True story.

Very much so. Twice as annoying when said person starts bugging you and talking to you. "How do you catch Marlin?" "How do you get Lu Shang's?" "How I mine for fish?" FFFuuuuu

I don't get how JPs can all fish in that tiny spot in the top corner all of them clusterfucked together, that would piss me off so badly

I usually rather just fish in the bottom unless I'm alone, I ain't scared of no Sea Horror, if I aggro it it only takes at most like 45sec to deaggro it anyway.

when i start this quest, im prepared that the main problem will be gugs, for both my ID and my wife's..........well, it now seem that my liks : gugs ratio is going to hit the same as my wife's ID

if thats the case, i bet i wont see any opal silk till 500 mark

i personally wouldnt mind 500 liks to 500 gugs.......but lets hope its not 1000

i fish like 8-10 liks per hour FOR 2 ID we used lu shang....not to mention in eg. 10 bites, i get 2 liks, 4 broken rods and 4 broken lines

now with wife's ebisu, i get 8/10 liks, 2 broken lines max

so yea, as you expected, arth quitted liks and playing marlins now.........i let my wife's ebisu do the business now. she gets like 12-16 liks alone now, in an hour

Let's see.. bonecraft approached 96 much faster than I thought it would (94.6 right now), while fishing just recently hit 51. Look's like I'll be moving on from trumpet shells well before 63. orz. (

My next target for a while is gavial fish, and then I want to do titanictus after them. (Possibly alternating.) Am I correct in assuming that I want to use lu shang + meatballs for both these targets? Titanictus would be on the ferry (normal) and Ryugu Titans would probably snap my rod a couple times, right? And gavial fishes would be best from.. gusgen mines?

frog lure or minnow for gavial fish. dont fish titanictus, its a waste of time.

yeah for titanictus shells go for armored pisces, lv 100 fish too and bites often, doesn't break Lu. Frog lure or minnow as well.

Titanictus alone are better for Titanictus Shells. You can produce multiple shells from a single Titanictus while you are limited to a single shell from Armored Pisces. Also, it's a regular synth (unlike with Gavial Fish -> H.Q. Pugil Shells) so HQ's will be 50%+ and very common.

In my experience you will get 4-8 Pisces in a 20 minutes span. I haven't really fished Titanictus, but i can see 4 of them a boat ride easily beating out 8 Pisces in terms of shells produced.

Conflicting answers! I had originally planned to do armored pisces, until I noticed that they can only give one titanictus shell whereas titanictus can give up to 4.

Also, very interesting that titanictus and armored pisces -> titanictus shells are a synth and not a desynth. Being a level 40 synth I'll definitely have a 50%~ hq rate easily.

edit: gavial fish also gave me the "synthesized blahblah" instead of "obtained", so wouldn't this mean gavial fish are also a synth and not a desynth?
