thats true....i hope SE doesnt just raise fish cap per day for ebisu owners.because obviously after getting ebisu, we cant prolly fish like 200 liks or gugs a day.......

I hope the buff is decent but I think its going to be a lot more Ebisu specific fish instead of any real fishing buff.

I've heard more than one person say the JP update notes make it more clear that the ebisu boost is just, in fact, the ability to fish longer without fatiguing. I hope that is not the case, but I suspect it probably is.

Remember last time Ebisu was mentioned in the update notes we were told "We will enhance, greatly, the stats on Ebisu fishing rod" or something to that effect. It didn't really get any better then.

This would be fine if it did up it in fact to say like 300 fish. Could make 300k+ every day easy. Like i said in the last post in the update area, i hope they just take the cap off for the E rod lol.

I asked my friend who used to play XI and is fluent in Japanese, he confirms the phrasing of the update notes as an increase in the # of fish per day you can catch.

The picture shows a mithra fishing on the Manaclipper, now, I know those pictures usually don't mean shit, but you can catch Gugrus on the manaclipper, can't you? Might mean something >.> even though it's a bit of a stretch

At times like this, we must remember that every update sees players hope for the best, only to be disappointed. Although I do think an update that would

a) allow Ebisu fishers to catch more fish and
b) make it easier for Ebisu fishers to catch the fish needed to get Ebisu

would be pretty cool.

Hmm few questions to help me out:

1. Do you have moghouse signboard or just gear/apron/support?
2. Are you able to deplete them down to 0% or are you just reeling in whenever the time is up and hoping since line breaks dont matter with a meatball?
3. Do you tap fish these like liks? Or just hold the button down?

I tried a week or two ago and pretty much gave up after not being able to get them below 33%ish health but I'm not 100 yet.

Damn, last night I finally get my opal silk, wake up today to patch notes buffing my incoming ebisu. I read the notes two ways: you either get to go past the 200 fish cap, or your catch rates are upped so you get more out of the same amount of time. Personally hoping for the second myself. I hope it does NOT make ebisu easier to obtain, as I planned on fishing gugs and liks for profit.

Edit: Read the previous posts about JP wording, god dammit SE. No one wants to spend 4 more hours of their already busy days fishing, wtf.

It could be a very sad situation... Liks/Gugs became easier to catch... the prices will drop... more people will be able to finish Ebisu Rod... supply increases more... prices drop further...

even if the price did drop to say 10k each that be fine by me, this update should push more people to go after it. The E rod has more then just lik and gug use. and maybe someday will get more use from it ~_~.

i tab, and bring them to 0% unless time is almost up, then i rell at 5%ish

100 + 5 from armor + 1 from lvl 1 moghancement. cpugrabber is very important. i can only reel in 50% of gugs with full FPS. with 15-18 fps, i can reel up 9/10s including line breaks
