Ughh so i just hit level 50 fishing.
I don't have a lushangs yet, have 2,600 carp... suggestions?
Im thinking windurst so i can skill on golds and get moats

Think a lot of people are of the opinion that you would be better off fishing up something that sells faster (like Nebimonite) and either buying the rod or buying the fish if you want to complete the quest and get the key item.

In trying for a new albatross ring last night I got 3 bubu charts and 0 valk charts. 2 of them were no mobs and got the penguin ring on both of those 2. Where was that when I was going for ebisu????

Can't believe I'm actually grumbling about 4 penguin rings taking up inventory space after how hard they were to get when doing the quest.



And if that wasn't enough to piss some people off.....

When I was turning in marlins to try for the pirates chart I turned in a bunch of titans/sea zombies while I was at zaldon. I have a macro set up for all the zaldon fish and was just spamming cntl 1 until all marlins gone, cntl 2 until all titans gone, etc. Started pressing cntl 3 to turn in my zombies for mastya bait and got a saber shoot.......

So yeah, after having ebisu rod for a couple of years I'm 1/1 on saber shoot for my next rod ; ;

Eh, are you saying that your ctrl+3 macro was actually "/item "Gugrusaurus" <t>" and you had a few extra gugrusaurus? Or do you literally mean you got a saber shoot off of a zombie?

Also, has any ebisu rod holder tried turning in an extra lik/gugru to Zaldon after you got the rod? Maybe it's 100% after you complete the quest (just in case you toss the rod for whatever reason, you could go pick another one up easily).

yeah cntl 3 was gugru from back when i was doing quest. Pressed it thinking it was for zombies and turned in the wrong fish. There was a pirate ride where I got the zombies while going for marlins and I pulled up 2 gugru that trip along with 3 zombies. Tried to turn in zombies, hit cntl 3 to do it but it was gugru macro.

As to the lv 50 fisher without lu shangs, skill up to 56 in al zhabi using insect paste and hume rod. You'll catch tonnes of carps for lus and get good skillups on the sazanbaligis or whatever. You can buy all three mats for making the paste in whitegate as well, the water and millioncorn from the vendors by entrance to al zhabi, and the little worms from npc selling at the northern docks.

Man, last 3 brigand charts I did I got 3 penguin rings lol, got 2 sitting at ~130 charges and 3 full charge ones now :/

I'm so happy I went and bought a 20k lik yesterday for fish ranking! Finally placed high enough to win my first pelican ring! Not only that I traded that little bastard to the galka and just went 1/1 on opal silk! Bought a gugru for chance at more crazyness, but 0/1. Wish I could've had that lik mounted for my mog house lol.

after reading some random posts (i'm not crazy enough to read 88 pages '-'), i was wondering if it was possible for a 93 fisherman with serpent's rumors to go and try liks for ebisu/skill ups with pelican and either albatross/penguin with minnow (as far as i know mooching KI is only for living bait anyway), some leads let me think that it is indeed possible but i'd like a confirmation '-', and which ring i should use for this (i have 15 full albatross rings but only one half used penguin...)
