I do exactly what the guy said above you, I fish on the side from the ledge where there normally are no scorps. I use shrimp lure and bring along my skulker's cape, I love this GP fish, takes about 20 mins with OP > run > fish > escape > warp back from OP NPC and turn in. The bite rate is a bit hit or miss, I'll go 5 mins with no bites or Kelp, and then get 3 in 2 mins.

You using any rings or just trying the fancy bait?

So other wiki reports Ebisu/Robber Rig as the "best" combination for Trumpet Shells. I've been trying Lu/Robber on these things using my Alt. for the past few hours and have only gotten a handful of these, and a lot of other crap I don't want.

Does the Ebisu have any additional properties I'm missing when it comes to fishing Trumpet Shells up? Such as not getting as many of the 'junk' fish on the line?

Just wanted to say thanks for the guide on page 87 about Nashmau-only fishing. Was going the carp route trying to fish for my Lu Shang's doing the quest. I was around 16 when I read the guide, decided to go on the Selbina/Mhaura ferry and fish like the big boys and Nebimonites have been very, very good to me. Past three days I've gotten from 16 to 21.4 (currently), and I'd say that's damn good compared to what fishing for carp in Yhoator was getting me.

The money is nice, very steady source of income, but I've noticed that the Nebimonite bite rate is sporadic as hell, and when there's more than one like-leveled fisher on the boat, we all get bites at the same time. Just wondering if that's how all fish work, or certain fish, or what? Not a big deal, just curious about it.

So, thanks! I have a re-energized passion for fishing, but unfortunately I'm going to have to quit the game for a while at the end of the month due to financial bullshit. So I'm going to see how far I can get in that time, and do nothing else if I can help it.

Was trying the Fancy bait since it was taking up space. I only have 1 Albatross Ring, still working on Penguin Rings (have a Pirate Chart so I can get Brigards only now). I am assuming Rings are superior.

I was more personally curious if Albatross + Fancy bait can do Gugs without penguins.

drill calamary does nothing special at all

its just a meatball except if you have mooching, you get a albatross ring effect

and doesnt mean all drill will catch gugs. like meatball, you can still hook garbage

you will be better off using the GP elsewhere like signboard

i kept like 60 before i hit 100, and i burnt them all to safe space, and all i got is 6-8 gugs, exactly the same amount i use meatballs

Ah I see. So you can ring the Mooching bait to get even more effect? Yea I leanred the garbage thing by hooking over half my Drills with mobs. Also I already exhausted all my good GP options. Only had Mooching and Frog Fishing to do so I got Mooching. Well good to know I didn't bother getting a lot fo that bait.

yep that will be 2x albatross effect duration and is very good if your are struggling in reeling them

but still getting mooching is pointless, because, tbh, getting those baits are a complete waste of time

can you imagine sea zombie only on pirate rides? and how many pirate u gotta see a day? + how many sea zombie u can get, and gut them?

prolly 10 drill calamries per day max

that extra 20 sec to reel in gugs is not worth your trouble

penguin + albatross is the best you can go, to get gugs at a reliable rate

i havent met anyone who really made full use of the mooching key item yet. those baits are just too rare compare to 15 stacks of meatballs u can get from NPC

if you got all items, try changing like 5 fishing belts, and then switch to crafting guild for skill items ^^

im done after signboard. fishing hole map not worth my time too

but, i keep dying every time i do this with two smns, all we do is diamond dust right as they pop. Once i lost the chest because we ran too far away and shiva killed the last mob with melee instead of shivas dying as was expected.

Grats :O! I'ma lose on the premise that I can't fix my own Lu, so I'm limited to fishing Pterygotus in Nashmau and no 0.3s XD But I try anyways!
