The nebimonite phase was really quick for me. I stayed in SSG instead of the boat and pulled up every grim/bream as well, so that's probably why. I started at 14 on Tuesday and joined the guild today, with a few bass to hand in for GP before fatigue hit!

Ya, I've been trying pretty hard to find the best advice for Halcyon owners before 27-53 because Lu really is that game breaking lol, but obviously also expensive for some.

Really it seems like the best way to do lu or ebisu if you don't have the gil at the moment is to just get a loan from someone if you can, then use the lu/ebisu to fish back up all the gil since your income will skyrocket from having either.

Just got my first Pirate's Chart today, 1/11, but now I'm really nervous to try the fight. I'm unsure who I'll be able to reliably and regularly do it with me, as most of my LS fishes and we have about 5 pirate charts sitting around right now so needing 2 hours for all of those would be problematic. I have SMN leveled enough, but the person I'd ideally like best to do it with doesn't. Hmmmm.

2 smns can handle it, wait for thundersday/iceday and stack that new augmented petatt/petmatt gear, then open fire!

Remember to aim for the sahagin since it has the most hp.

Can't beat the gp fish (Phanauet Newt) for Artisan rank. ~94 frogs for 1120 points and doesn't stack at all. Can't buy from guild either.

I managed to unlock the Ebisu's rage mode yet again, this time on Liks >:D

Hauled in three liks in a row without breaking a sweat, words can't even describe the raw power of this rage mode.

Take a look at my status effects. Note the lack of an enchantment. After destroying 3 liks my enchantment wore halfway through the last, two casts later I hooked another and managed to land it without the albatross ring.

It felt like I had a super penguin effect, x2~3 on. I don't know yet what is turning this super mode on but I wanna find out. I'm getting more and more convinced this isn't my imagination and I am actually seeing this.

Has anyone else noticed after hours of fishing a sudden super burst in the strength of their ebisu like me?

Since I started fishing on the Ferry I've made well over 200k just on Nebimonites going from levels 11 to 19.4. I'm probably going to take a short break at 20 to either craft, or fish up some more moat carp.

I almost soloed Blackbeard yesterday on the Ferry as PLD/WAR. I didn't expect to win, but I had him down to like 5% before he killed me. I didn't care at that point though because I got the Sand Charm seconds before attempting to kill him. I know I could have easily taken him down /NIN. I may start fishing on BST just so I can take mobs out faster or let the pet do all the work while I continue fishing up Nebs.

not all but fishing is part of my main source of money now

my selbina mule parked and started with 40k gil, and now hes 11ish M from ebisu fishes after 1 month
