Hey Dejet I noticed in the update thread you said you had no idea what the Ebisu buff did in the previous update. If you look back 10ish pages I wrote something up about the effects. In short it's an added penguin ring type effect on certain fish. You can hunt down the reply if you want more details, it includes SS's and whatnot. I wasn't going to post in the update thread because I've made millions since then not needing Penguin's for Gugs and I really don't want any further competition in the market .

I think I posted around then saying I saw that to some effect. Just that it did not always seem to work. ~_~ I Miss my fishing rod, I only have a Lu shang again, I gave my old account away.(dont play much anymore so my friend gets some use out of it)

I can not really test it anymore. Sad part I do not think he uses my E rod at all.

Get this, in a week I log back onto my old main, my sam no longer has a hagun, haub+1 ,alks, flame ring all missing LOL he sold it to fund bard. Also my stage 3 relic GK sits doing nothing. He also said he plans to start a relic horn ; ; One my friends on the server said it best "its not your account anymore so ya shut it lol"

I play aion now ~_~ I suck at it to use to FFXI LOL

It increases your fishing stamina lost by a 2 x modifier, you can now only catch 100 fish a day while wearing it.

Meatball on the ferry, they're retarded easy to catch. I'd put them about 4-5 slots /under/ cave cherax lol

I average 5-6 per ferry trip, good for skillups I have to say :D

I think i hit 100 off them. They are a good skill up fish and if you know a bonecrafter you can make gil, if not they are worthless, sell to slow on my AH at the time to make anything. I got lucky and sold them like 3~4k a pop

Yeah these are super easy. I'm pissed I never tried them before for GP! I was thinking they'd break Lu's and be annoying like Titans...

I even took a chance on a titan and got a 0.3 skillup on a line snap! w00t

Man, titanictus is one crap fish to skill up on for me. Indeed it is easy to fish up but so far, out of ~200 of it, only 2 skillup messages. Half of those are with pelican lol

Anyway, i don't know what you all think about that Seagull ring but doubt its worth the hassle to start doing MMM unless you are a fan of MMM. Probably hoping a friend will let me leech his maze or whatnot since there is practically nothing worth using that ring to fish. Gugrusaurus is probably the only fish that requires penguin for me since my fps fluctuates too much during boat.

Okay, some feedback from me.

Titanictus: Extremely easy to reel. 3x 5,840 GP is just awesome.

Gugrusaurus: Went yesterday to try Gugs for first time. Had to reduce my FPS to ~15-16 but that was not an issue. Level 97 with Advanced Support (you prolly don't need it but meh...) + Albatross + 5 skill from gear. NO PENGUIN. Easy to reel them.
Lotsa line breaks tho.

You need to have 2x Albatross Ring on you to maximize your time on board since effect goes after you "zone" as you all know.

All of above been said lots of times but well, just wanted to share my own experience.

Windfox: I am not a MMM fan as well but if you and Gaucho want to team up after the patch and go for the ring, just tell me.

Holy hell, the only reason he'd sell ALL of it is to try and fund a G-horn. Bard is quite possibly the LEAST expensive job to play, you can afford all the gear you'd need from 1-75 probably with 1 of those pieces he sold.

PS - How is Aion? i'm resisting playing it, although a handful of friends at work all started it.

Its cool, Im taking it slow. I do not know anyone in the game tho ~_~ I log for a hour or two a night and do some quests. Its not anything like FFXI so its taking some getting use to. Everyone in the game seems to call it WOW 2.0.(but they all say its way better) I guess it plays like wow? no clue myself never did play wow.

The CS's and quests up to lvl 17 quests are sorta short. I can solo most of it right now, im told tho that you need to do PVP and group fights later on (around 20-25) Maybe I can get more into it then. Its easyer to lvl up then in FFXI(quests are decent exp)

Money up to now is not a prob NPCing mostly stuff and I can pay to get my hp and mp healing meds for the somewhat stronger monsters I have to fight.

I am a SCH so I cheat a lot on the stronger mobs. DoT> bind> Fire chain> sleep> wait for recasts lol(for stronger mobs)

I am starting to have a lot more fun as I lvl up more and get stronger spells and what not.

Also I <3 the overlay map LOL it shows you where almost everything is. Very few things you have to ask someone for help to find.

also get good at gliding LOL lot of areas you cant fly, but you cna glide a decent amount.(lvl10+)

I think it took me a week with work school and some random items that it asked for like 40+ fish each time. When i was like around 20k points from getting SR's

If its like a rare fish I only need 4-10 of I can fish that but god the ones that ask for like 20+ fish, why SE why? lol

I feel all the bitching, I'm 4.3k away from waders which is my last fishing GP item. However, with all the complaining we do, I have to say fishing GP's seem easier and cheaper than any other crafts GPs. I've only done cooking, leather, and fishing so my sample size is pretty small, but I've actually enjoyed doing fishing GPs.

Cooking GP is the worst imo. I'm 94 on my mule and all I've had the patience to get is Raw Fish Handling.

Fishing has it very easy with GP's only thing however is at times its very low number of GP, I think our caps out at around 7000 GP at best. Other GPs can get 7000 point items as early as like the 1st rank. and cap off at close to 10000. They also tend to get more higher ones. Its the trade off, no gil to get out GP vs getting a lot more faster if you have to spend gil.

Yesterday I went to fish in Bubu for shall shells since they sell for 10-12k a stack very fast (as opposed to the Istiridye which sell for 7-9k a stack and take a while). I only had about 20-30 minutes to fish. Caught 2 stacks of Shall Shells and a stack of Bluetail. I got .7 in skillups. I almost made a mess in my chair. Finally getting away from Nashmau (where I was plauged with fishing up 140ish fish without a single skillup) paid off!
