Fishing has it very easy with GP's only thing however is at times its very low number of GP, I think our caps out at around 7000 GP at best. Other GPs can get 7000 point items as early as like the 1st rank. and cap off at close to 10000. They also tend to get more higher ones. Its the trade off, no gil to get out GP vs getting a lot more faster if you have to spend gil.

Just wondering for people that fished Armored Pisces, what kind of luck you all had.

I'm at 89.6 skill, and I thought just for a change of scenery I'd see how difficult they were to pull in. So I grabbed advanced support, and headed out. I like to keep track of how many fish I reel in per pelican ring charge just to see if one place is more worthwhile than another. I consider 9-10 catches per charge to be acceptable; anything more is just bonus. So on my first charge, I reeled in 12 pisces. "This is great!!" I thought, as they npc for higher then the Pterygotus I was targeting in Nashmau (of which I averaged 6 catches per charge). So I thought I had found my new fishing spot. Then on the second charge, I only caught 4. Ehh...I thought...just random it will all even out in the end. Then the 3rd charge, I had ZERO catches. Wtf I thought. Ok 1 more charge. That last charge I caught 5. So that averages out to about 5 per charge, and if you throw out the first ridiculously high one, its only 3 per charge. What would be a "normal" bitrate?

Also, what do people generally fish for money once they get to 100? Is it all Liks / Gugs? Because the Gug market on my server seems to be flooded, and nobody seems to buy Liks at all. Do you just do Cave Cherax?

I know there's a separate thread for Ebisu now, but as long as I'm here, got my Opal Silk on Sunday night; will have my Ebisu at the next conqest tally. Ended up 1/39 on Gugs, 1/162 on Liks.

fish liks start as early as you can ( 90 ish), they are easy and sell well. If they don't sell trade them to zaldon lol. Armored pisces are the non-break safe option, but can suck. I used minnow on them w/o too much trouble though ( maybe 20-30fish/hour), while people suggest other baits ( forgot which).

Just got an Albatross ring last night, gonna go after some Lik with my Ebisu today.

On average, what would you say is the amount of Lik you can pull up in an hour with Ebisu + Albatross

How about Gugs per boat ride with Ebisu + Albatross? (also, which bait to use? Meatball or Slice of Bluetail?)

Gugs: at least 1 per trip, I'll hook a good 3-4 but lotsa line snaps, if there's rainy/thudner weather or whatever I'll haul in like 4.

Sounds about the same as me. Didn't know that support increase bite rates, that is something new to me.

Lik: About 3-4 bites per ring charge for me but you should have at least a bite. The line snap rate average about 2Liks:1 minnow. Highest a single minnow last me is 5, rare though.

As for Gugru, not sure if urat meant by at least 1 gugru fish or bite rate. But for me, it is average 1 bite rate. Gotten 3 boat rides with 0 bite at all, pretty depressing.

You can also get advanced support in whitegate using a bronze imperial piece trading it to the npc next to the fishing guild. That fishing guild is pure win.

Yup, sits right beside the boat to and from mhaura and WG, which happens to be where the gugs are.

I wait for the boat to arrive with meatballs ready to go, grab support at last moment, and then fish gugs for 2 hours straight with support.

Speaking of which, quetz has gugs for our current fish ranking, guess I'ma fish those for awhile instead of liks and try and get a good prize winner.

Last time I did that I managed to sell 3 fish for a good 200K each and they all placed in the top 10, so I wonder how much a gugrasaurues would go for <($.$)>

my stats out of 200 liks are approx. 40% success, 40% line snap, 15% rod break, 5% lack of skill ( 108 skill), ends up with 5-10 per two hour depending on luck. Gugs bite much more often, should be 10-15 every 2 hours maybe(but you need penguin).

I bring a friend to hold pugil, just cast line and open chests as fast as possible. Only done twice but 1/2 on ring.

Think we came to the fisher being fail if they did it with just one chart? Bring mroe then one so you dont have to deal with fishing up the pug (make the friend hold it for both fights. It should not rage that fast.
