It's a valid question. None of those numbers is the duration, and other items cooldown faster or slower than the durations of their enchantments (Signet staves, costume equips, pulling the strings items).
Being able to give yourself fishing enhancment when your out in the middle of nowhere is about to get a lot more valuable with that new update -.^
I think i'm gonna swap back to fishing guild for a week or so once I get my WWing ring done just for that![]()
But the drawback is that the support will wear when you zone since it is an enchantment, i suppose so?If that is true then no more gugru's boat rides usage, although there is a guild in whitegate, not too bad.
I has belt too~
Oh really? lol
Didn't have a fishing belt but i have alchemy and CC belts though. That will be good to know. :D
I go from 0-3 max. Gugrusaurus per Ferry trip. Never made 4 so far.
I also want to say I got more problems reeling Liks than Gugs.
Gugs depletion is slow but steay. Easy. Lik goes mad, not like Ryugu Titan but can go quite crazy mode...with the rod moving right and left non-stop.
Contrary to everyone, I prefer to go for Gugs.
Hit lv 98 yesterday with a nice Gug btw. \o/
I do the same as Urat...Buy my meatballs at the ferry and wait next to the guild. When I see the fish coming, trade the bronze piece and fish for 2h non-stop on the Ferry.
Also, if you run out of Meatballs, you can just exit in Al Zahbi, run to buy 4-5 stacks and back to vessel before it departures.
Hope above helps.
Alby
whining time :
Was fishing for marlin on the ferry, pirates attacked, switched to meatballs going for sea zombi and maybe finnaly try a gugrusaurus.
Skill 100+4, lu shang + meatball. No support, had albatross and penguin ring active.
Got a guguru to bite just before pirates left... HOLY SHIT WHAT THE FUCK IS THAT FISH ?
This is really, really fucking retarded. Stamina went slow as fuck, then the rod stayed in the middle position, his life going full again...
I managed to get it to 75% by the time i timed out...
I am SO never going to reel these fuckers...
(btw : i fish on pc, 29 fps...)
</whine>
btw : 1/22 on m kriss '-'
edit : pirates again on the next trip, going for my revenge ! ><
edit 2 : 2 bites, 2 lost catch @40%, their stamina drained a little faster, but still impossible to reel... this is stupid, SE is really fucked up. I'm not sure i'm gonna get the ebisu now...
edit 3 : Pirates again on the next trip... but nah, i give up <.<
pretty sure thats been mentioned a couple of times in this thread... i cant confirm or deny tho since i've never pulled one.
I got Rumors today, tonight I start on Lik.
- 98.0 + 4
- Apron
- 2x Lu Shang's
- Albatross Ring
- a ton of minnow's
Think I need to get advanced support? What would you experts guess my line snap/rod snap rate will be?
I'll hopefully get my Penguin Ring this weekend, but I don't have one yet :/
1.) Always get paid support it'll help reduce your line snaps. If you want exact #s someone recently posted a large sample size a couple pages back in regards to Lu + Liks.
2.) If you're targeting Gugs alone then use the open ferry route between whitegate/mhaura where they bite every ride and you don't have to /roll the dice hoping for pirates. I've hooked gugs on both boats and they feel the same, the only reason you may think pirate boat is easier is because they drop your FPS.
3.) OMG WADERS ARE THE BEST FISHING ITEM EVER, IM 6/6 ON SUCCESSFUL GUG REEL INS SINCE GETTING THEM!!!!!!!!!!!! I know tomorrow night I'll go 0/5 straight, but its nice now lol.
4.) Before I go run some tests, does anyone know what level cap you start to automatically deplete fish? Like is it 15 levels over and you get auto-depletion? I assume I can probably figure it out in Talacca screwing around with +1 gear, but it'd be easier if someone just plain knew.
Planning to do a bit of Nashmau/Talacca fishing NPCing Ahatapots and Mercs and Dils. Question: Wiki makes it look like they all NPC for ~700g. Is there any reason to go all the way out to Talacca? Why not stay in Nashmau and not get monsters and miss out on Dils that NPC for the same? None of these analogs AH on my server, so basically it's a cook or NPC decision :\
I personally preferred Nashmau to Talacca except when Nashmau seemed to suck. There will be times when Nash bite rate stinks and there's really nothing you can do about it other than leave or waste your time getting 3 bites per hour. One tip I do have though is save your merc/dils to sell to the guild in whitegate. It'll net you a bit more gil per fish which obviously adds up over time. As for worrying about monsters, there's info in this thread as to how to distinguish if it's a fish or a mob, but my rule of thumb is just don't even bother risking it. If it's !!! terrible or positive you don't have enough skill I reel it in, if it's !!! unsure I cancelled, pretty simple.
