Good gil and actually succesfully remove 4 fish bots from the ferry by a GM call. Didn't think he would do it but after a few minutes, they depoped

I have nothing better to do anyway. The downtime isn't really a problem, I think it's less than all the "You didn't catch anything" I got this morning in Qufim.

I use a Shrimp Lure so I can get skill up from the Noble Lady as well and I sell most of them at the AH. I do agree that a restroom break once in awhile doesn't hurt lol

Yesterday's GP item was CrayFish aparently best place to fish these is Bastok Markets using little worms. I fished there for a good 20mins and caught anything but CrayFish.Then I tried Bastok Mines in this kind of water tank thiingy with loads of pipes going into it. Seemed to be about a 100% bite rate there of CrayFish.
I wondered why people said Markets was supposed to be better. I'm 93 Fishing, am I too high to catch them there? Does bite rate of lower fish go down the higher you are?

Seem to hook fish more often... (i've tested) in dragonsaery. I fished for 1 window on my mule getting tod. LS came out next window and fished on me. Mule (less than cap on moat carp) got about 1/4 of the bites I got on me at 70+. Every cast was a bite, I further tested it w/ me and a friend (he was much lower about 10-15skil at the time, and me fishing. Had the same results as me vs my mule.

I always thought biterate went up with fishing skill. I was wondering more if you could actually be too high to fish certain fish? (If you can target a large number of fish, as I was doing in Markets with little worms.)

Not sure about that spooky. Never went out of my way to test it. I know this is only 1 run, but it just shows that you can make 40-50k/hour vendoring fish in talacca. Things to note, dark weather owns the biterate... seemed to up my item biterate.... also the fish biting on last ring seemed to be alot less than the other 2 charges.

I didn't get to fish in the last few days because fafnir being a gay-last-window-popping-5-days-in-a-row-dragon.

Anyway, I am now at 67.x and I decided to start stacking Soles and Squids for my cooking mule...I tried Talacca again (despite having been disapointed every time I went there before) and it was not better than the other times :/ So I tried Qufim...so far is really good money but poor skillups even with skillup ring on 100% of the time...well I'm going for the gil so it's not so bad, plus my cook mule is now 2 levels from tier1 Sole Sushi

Oh I knew this. It's my fault for not being specific though. Gugru Tuna are just inventory clogging so whenever I see one, I just cancel it like it was a monster.

I've fished up 10 so far and got 0 skillup. They are more inventory clogging than anything else. I know you are right though it's just that they haven't put up with skill so even it makes leveling a little slower, I don't mind passing them.

Well, [GM]Luminious isn't anywhere near that helpful two days ago. "Player" and devoted fisher Ccbae was on the ferry fishing with a full inventory for about two hours, and getting on and /healing exactly the same way each time, GM wouldn't do shit. We've got a plethora of level 1, rank 1, WARs with gibberish names all fishing on the Ferry on Hades the past three times I've gone there. I STF reported the two groups I've seen, may the banhammer be with them. :D

I'm currently 26 Fishing, and skilling up. I've done the Ferry a bunch of times, and Nebs+Noble Ladies are nice money and skill ups. I'll often have a pretty lousy bite rate there though, so I end up only getting 4 fish in the 15 or so minute ride. Then have to stand around waiting for the thing to leave again. It got a little tiresome for me.

If you've got a Lu's though, I found SSG to be quite a bit nicer. (I used a Shrimp Lure again for bait.) Norg shells you can sell for a pretty penny in Norg on the Bastok AH. I haven't gotten a Damp Scroll, but I'm sure those move quickly too. I'm able to pull up Grimmonites fairly easily, but they do have a lot of stamina, so if one has more fight in it than usual I run out of time. Breams also bite fairly often. Other than that it's just Nebinomites which I'm still under the cap on and sell nicely.

I tried North Qufim with both Shrimp Lure and Minnow available, and got more skill ups, but made less money. Only snagged two Gigant Squid while I was there as well which was a little disappointing. (At the same time shocking that I can catch level 85+ fish at all though, really.)

After finishing up some Campaign stuff I'll probably go back to SSG.

I'll probably have to check out Talacca Cove tomorrow, but it looks like it's got some potential (assuming I get an ok biterate at my level).
