Meh...probably just a prank. But let's have a go at speculation anyways.

No fish currently listed on the "Inside the Belly" wiki page that is gutted by Zaldon for 340.

The person who posted the picture (Upbeat of Odin) said "Veydal Wrasse is what you'll want to use to get ores." However, we already know 340g isn't the correct amount you get back. Further, all he would have to do is replace the two items Veydal Wrasse drops with other .dat labels, and it appears like he got two other items (same can probably be done with the price...a simple text edit).

So yeah, take it for what it's worth.

I'm pretty sure he's playing on one of those modded servers, as demonstrated by this pic:

The guy you're talking about Upbeat told me he got Ice ore from a different fish. I hadn't posted from what fish since I didn't want to be an ass and ruin a way of making gil for him since he buys liks from me . So I can't say it's true for sure, but I will say that is not the fish he claimed to get the ice ore from. I will say the fish he claimed to get an ice ore from is not listed on the inside the belly page.


edit: woot new ring! thanks juliano for posting maze up for copying! Double edit wow just got another seagull ring for my old ls leader Elipse. I think that makes me an estimated 2/17ish picking mithra ftw lol. Gonna keep hitting it up daily for a Heron's as well.

While I can understand the want to protect such information for market purposes, I find it irksome that he would release that SS, and not only fail to provide accurate information about it, but provide deliberately false info to throw people off.

You have people in this thread who spent quite a few hours fishing/turning in some of the new guttable fish only to come up with a few measly trinkets, but when something of value is found? "Oh, let's keep this one a secret!"

Edit: Still don't believe the SS. Given what Lasareth mentioned, it is most likely just some .dat edits. Also, if someone did find a way to get ore from fish, you would think that they would be smart enough not to post a picture of it at all; that's only going to get people searching for the correct fish sooner than if you had stayed quiet about the whole thing.

seems to remind me of the "found it on a taisai" story wherein someone intentionally gave misleading information to send people on a wild goose chase. until we can locate a fish that meets any of their facts, we have to call bull.

A jp friend of mine just told me that fish gave elemental ore. Not sure if it is true though but she is gonna try i think. I tried to catch that fish before for skill up, bite rate is indeed horrendous. Caught 1 and left. lol

There's a rune for most if not all crafts already. Think of it as a boost to your fishing skill. That's what the other crafting runes do anyway. I'm not sure if they affect your marble reward or not.

i don't know where i should ask for this, since i can't find server forums based, but has anyone on gilgamesh got a maze that dropped the seagull ? we did 2/4 heron ring with a friend the 1st day with a copied maze, since then we spam it everyday and we haven't seen a seagull ring yet, i'm not sure our maze setup can make it drop '-'

our maze is :
015 - motion : fish will put up a spirited fight
094 - lost and found
019 - weakness : opponents will begin with a disadvantage
108 - conditionning contract
111 - Goldarik's generosity : fishing support
020 - peon : your opponents will begin with a significant disadvantage

I fear peon and weakness may alter drop rate '-'

(still this is a very easy win with 2 fisherman)

I've gotten both rings off my maze, so I'm pretty sure if you are getting Heron Ring you can get Seagull as well. Whether you need Lost and Found or not I'm not sure of, most people seem to have it.

If he wouldn't have posted the picture I wouldn't have said anything but ya there ya go lol. Only thing I wonder is if it's all elements or just a select few. Maybe we should start at the bottom of the great blue fish list and start trying everY fish from like 100+ down to 70ish. If we team up and assign the fish it will be much less painless.

I've gotten a seagull ring, two heron rings, a brio dart and six brigand's charts. Over twenty five ish runs. All of my mazes that dropped anything were blank V08s. I never did moblin mazes till this update so I didn't have any marbles or spare runes around. So many lvl one jeuno maze mules with brigand's chart now haha

Maybe he deleted the pictures? I forgot his name so I can't look his profile up again. Supermidget was the other person in his screenshots wasn't he? I'm very skeptical about this... I hope people aren't going to spend multiple hours over a hoax and fall right into his trap. I'll be glad to be proven wrong though. Ores are a hot commodity.
