Just got my first Pirate's Chart and was wondering if 2 SMNs could win easily.

I don't think it'd be too bad with kiting practice/yags. However, I've had plenty of ugly experiences when all 3 people AF>BP Raged the crab which used 2 AF's and the 3rd didn't go off because it died. This caused the 3rd players BP timer to be set to 1 min cooldown while the fish mnk mob 100 fisted the crap out of the 2 players who had DMG'd it and were out of mps/avatarless and then moved onto the guy waiting on cool down timer.

I'm sure if you both BP/scatter with yag drink on you may be able to pull it off but I've tried kiting to the zone before only to have him lose interest/disappear after like 2 minutes of total pop time. I know it used to be soloable, but I'm not sure if it is anymore due to the mob losing interest so easily.

Hey guys this is non-traditional I know but bear with me. I've made some solid acquaintances in this thread and like to think I've earned some respect through my knowledge and dedication. I recently left my endgame LS that I was in for almost 4 years on very good terms. The reason I left was because I'm dieing to experience some other parts of the game. I've never really camped kings, killed toau hnms, DI, worm, wyrms, etc.

I held every post possible in my previous shell event leader, HR leader, bank leader, and had an incredible overall attendance rate for years with limbus, sea, sky, ein, and dynamis. I have no desire to level new jobs, no desire for much new gear since my gear is pretty much "capped", and no burning need for more gil since I have more than enough. All I'm yearning for are the experiences and rush of competition.

What I'm looking for is an LS who partakes in the activities I've yet to experience. I understand that many of those shells also participate in the events my previous LS did and I have no problem attending. The only "catch" is I'm a teacher, live with my fiancee, have pets, have hit or miss play times due to work, I can't make every event, or play until 2-3am like the good old days, but I can dedicate pretty much every minute in-game to a shell.

If any of you have an idea of a decent shell that sounds like it may fit what I'm hunting for drop me a PM with some more info and the LS website if possible. I was secretly scoping out Blacklisted Candies news but they just closed their recruiting for NA standard time.

I know exactly what you mean. I've been in a LS like that for most of my time in this game, and it was great. The only thing is, you will eventually burn out. And at one point it will become annoying when you want to do something light and fun, but no, you're forced to waste your afternoon away camping those last few tiamat windows. The good usually outweighs the bad though, I suppose.

And like you, I've recently become very busy with school work and life in general, and don't have what I would consider enough free time to be a good contributing member of such a shell.

Sorry this response probably isn't much help, I just felt like sharing it. =(

The "too far" and BPs not firing got changed didn't it? I don't think you'd have your timer needing to cooldown anymore.

BPs not firing was "broken" last time I did P charts fights which was about a month ago. What resets the timer is the mob that's being targeted dies and thus the diamond dust never actually gets off although it was readied. Reminds me of when blms don't target different eyes in Dyna-Xarc and only 4/6 nukes go off because the main targeted eye died. What I do to remedy this situation is tell my helpers to BP as soon as they see the mobs appear, and I tab around, target the fish guy, wait to see 2x BP's ready in my chat log and then fire my diamond dust.

As for my mention of being "too far" I didn't mean the avatar was too far away from the mob and got distanced. I mean when I was kiting the last mob I'd get some distance to re-summon and it would say something like "The monster lost interest and disappeared."

I thought they specify: Like Smallest weight, or smallest size, or smallest size and weight? At the tricorn people, I got frog fishing just for that awhile back on Odin to make some gil and win a ring, so wasn't worth it lol.

Exact way for Phoenix. I spoke to another fisher who was fishing them up. He was under the impression that smallest Armored Pisces was "lowest in size"

I know that Armored Pisces can be really small, I got one thats smaller than Wiki and Titanictus. It's total is 303.

I think it is safe to assume both. Cause when they ask for specific weight or length, you are able to tell from the npc's message. Only when its both, the message seems confusing lol
If you are still confused, you could just fish and trade a "normal" standard fish to the npc. There won't be any penalty on you except that same fish can't be used again.

Just letting everyone know 111 Goldagrik's Generosity provides fishing support in MMM. This support lasts outside of MMM as well, for what I assume is 2 hours. Doesn't seem to decrease your marble output as well. Just another way to grand yourself support, I assume.

Edit: Support lasts approximately 1 hour, meaning it's more than likely +1 Skill only.
