I pull them up without any problems at 62.9 with Pelican/Albatross
Except for the fact that they break my Lu's

Hey greg, you ever find out how to assign the release to a gkey?
Damn.
I usually fish while watching tv/movies, because it's so easy to multitask, but lately been wanting to play console games. Multi-tasking two controllers doesn't sound like fun at all, so I thought maybe keyboard/controller, and I can pick up the controller whenever I get a bite. meh, can probably just use the escape key I guess, since it will probably be in focus.
Or I could just play and not fish, but meh, I don't really have any other income in game and I'm trying to save up for a relic, lol
Not allowed to finish relic before I finish mythic, Juliano. D:
How did you assign a G key to cast while the game is out of focus?
It's just that... home feeling, you know? I don't feel like I belong on these other servers
Shitty part is that I'm probably going to be upgrading usu body soon (if it ever drops, fuck silver seas), usu head, and probably marduk head/body soon too if I ever get the shoes&head, and there would go all of my money![]()
Oh yeah I hear you on that. That feeling has kept me from leaving a number of times already, lol. Back to fishing for chu after all that! Sometime in the future I should finish Ares Body myself. I must be the only person on Carbuncle who has 25 and 35, but no 15 piece. >_>
P.S. Usu-Body doesn't exist. :3

on another note:
Spoiler: show
Been doing this shit religiously almost every single day ever since it came out ~_~
Having a shitty time trying to catch a big enough Gugru Tuna for the ranking contest... Currently level 49, biggest I have been able to catch is 525pz, and the biggest they get according to wiki/kida is 610... Most of the ones I catch are closer to the 350pz range. Using Lu Shangs and Sinking Minnow on the ferry.
Been having a hell of a time catching any skill ups in Nash @ 53. I was getting great skills ups past few lvl's but over x-mas break I spent a good majority of my time fishing for skill-ups/gil.
These past few days have been both in New Moon and Full Moon and all phases in between. Should I stay in nash or move to some place else? I'd go ride the boat but after 50 lvl's of that, needed a change of scenery. Any advice is welcome. Thanks.

Contest wants Liks this month on Bahamut....
Re Nashmau vs. Talacca, yes, 53+ needs a Lu's for either place I'd imagine, but every time I go to Talacca I regret it: Between Dils, cancelling monsters, and the extra travel I find Nashmau superior every time. And I'm 73.
Yes, I have a Lu Rod. I'm trying to get to 76 cause I have a friend who has an Ebisu willing to fish me up Liks and Gugru. Few things I need to get first before then, but I think it's doable just need the dam fishing skill ups.
I think I'll stay in Nash and wait it out. The gil between the skill ups are nice, just wish they were as good as the gil was.
Yay grats. XD Seagull + Albatross ftw! I tossed my extra Penguin Ring after I got mine and tested, really saw a lil difference. And now with Ebisu I really see no difference at all; might drop the other for space, haha.
Live in Nashmau for convenience if you don't have cooking to 85~95 or know a chef. If you know someone or have Cooking, live in Talacca Cove for skill, Sole Sushi spam is fun and can get an extra 50~100k offa straight NQing. :D Either way, there's no reason to leave the region unless you wanna fish Marlin to 61 for a chance at a chart.
Also, I don't care what anyone says, the best times I got skill was on New and Full Moon too... my best run was 8 skill levels in a Full Moon starting from 90% to 90% Waning Moon.
In regards to mmm fishing, I'm not sure if it was due to resonating salinity shift, but everytime I did, the fishing pools always had different fish.
For example, first time I resonated, Gugu tunas were in the 2nd pond and were plentiful to where i could win.The second time, there was only bluetails in the 2nd pond, and in the very back stream, there was the 3-eyed fish. The third time, the 2nd pool had 3 eyed and the back stream had gugu tunas.
This was all with Lu+minnow on M3 with resonated salinity shift + lost and found, 99+4 skill+seagull/heron rings. Can anyone confirm if this happens from resonating or if it also happens without resonating?
Also, some tips to beating the salt water version if you want to get revenge on those cheating 1234908430 pt brothers, though they may apply to only resonating salinity shift:
1) If you find the gugu tuna pond, just fish up 6 of those to win and hope the brothers dont find the 3 eyed fish.
2) If you find the 3 eyed fish pond, just keep fishing there. Apparently you can get more than one after the pond has restocked (Brothers found 2 after i initially found 1 ><)
3) If bite rates suck at a pond, move. I usually found a bluetail, gugu, or 3 eyed fish within the first 3-5 casts.
4) Try to find a duo partner to follow the brothers to see if they fish up the 3 eyed fish and just warp out if it lets them win.
Still only won 2/4, but the brothers won with 1324908324098 pts on the times i lost. 1/2 on pirates chart at least.
