They were 20k each and rarely sold about a week ago :s
Clearly someone has some pocket change. I got that on Quetz half a month back, trumpet shells shot up to 30K a stack. I managed to get a few stacks in on it til whoever was skilling up bonecraft capped on em.
I always keep an eye on the prices of fish. Im pretty curious to see what will happen when midgard forms up with quetz, will my prices skyrocket because quetz hasnt had the Urat's epic ebisu luck handing out E rods left right and sideways, or are their prices shitty and kill my money makers...
*counts on fingers* I believe I have gotten a total of 6 E rods, specifically 10 mats, to people now (2 of em already had the opal silk) to this date. If I recall correctly Im about 6/250~300 on gugs? Something in that ballpark. It kind of sucks, as I get the rods for these people for epic $$$ but then they can turn around and counter sell against me.
I've watched the price of ebisu fish slowly but surely drop down to like 15~10K over time as I've pumped out one ebisu after an another. No biggie I suppose, its not like I could've prevented people from getting their items so fast XP
Might wanna look out for Brio Dart that can drop from any reward fisherman chest. Sells for 100~400k easy due to super rarity. Flat Shield as well for about 100k less than the dart. However, I'm almost certain you'll see one or both your rings before you see a shield or dart, so no need to hype up over them.
You could pick the Elvaan for x6 Moat Carp to sell or give to a friend (that's another 4~5k every two days). Or you could pick the Mifra for Emperor Fish that goes 2~6k per day. It's not amazing but every lil bit can count towards Alex. :3
So, after losing 5 or 6 worm lures in MMM, I started looking for alternative strategies. Since all the best info I've found has been in this thread, some 10~15 pages back, I figured I'd post looking for feedback.
Instead of losing more and more worm lures, I was looking at all of the different kinds of fish people have been able to catch in the freshwater maze, and though it doesn't single anything out, Trout Paste looks like it'll get a lot of high-scoring fishes. Granted, I can't test this today (already did 3 runs), but I plan on trying it out later this week. Does anyone have any ideas on how this may work? "Yeah, that sounds like a great plan!" or "Silly taru, that'd never work. You need to ___, ___, and ____.".
p.s. Fishing 48, don't have Lu Shang's yet, so I've just been using the MMM rod within the maze.
edit, wait ugh. I was reading as if page 149 was the most recent page. If this is old-hat, let me know.
Your ultimate goal should be to get a lu. This will let you pull not only Monke-Onke's up from the left hand pool, but black eels as well.
Until then, use composite rod from outside which cannot line break on monke-onke or giant catfish, cancel !'s and "Good feeling" !!!'s.
Worm lure for monke-onke and (with lu) black eels on the left hand pool
Sinking minnow for giant catfish on the center pool.
Not to be rude, but I already was doing all that: working on lu shangs, Sinking Minnow in the first pond for catfish, Worm Lure in the others for Black Eels + Monke-Onke.
I probably should have mentioned that it wasn't Monke-Onke that was breaking the line, but a small fish (single "!"), and the MMM rod does just fine bringing up both large and small fish. My point was looking for and evaluating alternative strategies (i.e. all-out with the trout), since I'm low enough level that soloing with the standard lure setups can be frustrating.
You mentioned losing lures. My advise was geared to tell you how to prevent that. Use composite rod or Lu and you will not lose lures.
Update notes: New fish varieties have been added for the quest "Inside the Belly."
I'm busy the next couple days, so I'll be waiting on one of you to figure this business out.
If Zaldon doesn't take Matsya yet, just shove it down his pants for me.
Foolishly getting my hopes up again that currency will be obtainable from fish bellies.
got sick of fishing after doing 1k+ lik, been sitting on 25 stacks of pug bait, 10 albatross ring and 6 penguin, /prays for gutting matsya for something worthwhile
looks like there are some new foods that could provide a much needed boon for fishing so far i've seen:
Lik Kabob -- A lik on a stick, grilled over an open flame.
Grilled Lik (HQ) -- This lik on a stick is guaranteed to make you lick your lips.
Ilm-long Sub (HQ) -- The toppings on this delicious salmon sub are piled a malm high.
Btr. Nebimonite (HQ) -- This blissful nebimonite bake has been buttered and basted to perfection.
The NQs seem to be missing from the data mine, and I've not found any new fish, so I can only assume existing fish will now be able to be used for the inside the belly quest.
is anyone good with data mineing that could have a look for new fish? ._.
These are not new. However, their dat entry has changed from the previous state. Something has changed in the text, in the name, dunno - but they're not new items.
oh well, i guess all we've got to look forward to is turning in existing fish to Inside the Belly that were not a possibly before.
I think a few pages back there was a list of good contenders.
Reports from my friend Krish on In the Belly. Matsya still not taken by the Galka. :/
First the server up is delayed, then Cerb crashes, and now this! RAGEEEE I can't believe they wouldn't add something to it....
Anyone found the quest for Trainee Spectacles yet?
