Looking at the recipes online, I believe you have to replace every fish with the toau equivalent.
...yeah, I wish guild gp would accept toau fish too.

You can use either only standard fish, or only eastern fish in your synth. Which sucks :/
I don't get why they added these eastern fishes, to begin with.
yeah that sucks, thanks for fast replies
Like many of the solo fights you see online, what you're not seeing is the 10+ or more times they failed trying to solo probably lol. From personal experiance I would say stick with Ramuh, regardless of day.Originally Posted by jomiel

Is it possible to pull up trumpet shells relatively well at around 40 with Lu's?
Edit: I should add I'm 6000/10000 so I should get Lu's in a week or so, hence not finding out myself. Sorry I'm tired and sick![]()
If you did the carp route you could probably get some more skill-ups getting your last 4k. But I think you should be ok at 40 with gear and advanced support.
Cool, they sell quickly and for a lot more than shall shells. I'll see how I go with them when I get there![]()
omg Liks suuuuuuuuuucccccccckkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk Q_Q;
Out of the 4 I've managed to real in about an hr, I've only caught one and had 3 line breaks.
Insane fishing in kuftal today. Used my Pelican Ring on a full moon and over a few hours, .3 .2 .1 & .3 & hit 96. Fished up 2 Manta's as well, but sadly Th4 is broken. Lol.
Edit : After I hit 96, i got another .2 & .2 15 casts later.
Wow lucky guy...my last ~50 pelican charges yielded me exactly 0.0 skillups. I'm thinking somehow S-E detected the fact I'm fishing for gil more than skillups, and acting accordingly lol ><
Got this yesterday. Currently 1/4 on it![]()

Liks are nearly impossible to fish without WW leveled. T_T I can't level mine because I want to finish goldsmithing.
Is there anything I can do to try and avoid rod breaks? Yesterday having just got my rod fixed I managed to break it on the next fish... Should I cancel all the Liks with a particular message?
If WW is out of the equation, what about buying (or questing, or borrowing) a 2nd Lu Shang ? It will give you more chances at Liks between rods fixing, and you'll find 2 buyers np when you get your Ebisu.
There is no way you can tell if a fish is going to break your line/rod.
If you can't lvl Woodworking on your main (or on a mule), your best bet is to find many friends who can repair it.
Keep in mind that if you already think it's hard for Lik, it'll be even harder for Gugru because for Liks you can just flee to Tavnazia and D box the rod to your friend, he fix it and send it back, while for Gugru you'll have to wait untill the boat finish his trip/warp, run to D box, and then wait the next boat ... which usually take way longer.
Yeah, I did actually think about getting 2 or 3 lol.Originally Posted by vegetaa
I bought my frist, so I might quest one. Then I could quest another on mule I guess. But it would take ages...
A friend of mine from LS said he wouldn't mind standing next to me while I fish and he does a big crafting batch. Hopfully I can catch enough before he runs out of things to craft.
I've had this same issue forever, even 2 isn't enough. If im fishing for Lik or Gugu I'll break rod about 5-6 times before I'm out of fatigue for the day.
I finally broke down and started delvling my 2nd char's 100 crafting to get WW to 80(yeah, I coulda made a new mule, but theres alot of reasons that would simply cost me more time in the end, which is more valuable than anything else) because getting Ebisu without WWing skill without buying the fish is almost entirely unfeasible unless you have a really good friend willing to be on call and take boat trips with you everyday, which if you do, bitchslap them cause they've got to find better things to do.
Avoided it for almost 4yrs but finally sick of getting 6 liks before my rod breaks and waiting hours to get it repaired by someone I trust.
If you have WHM leveled you can goto Rabao and get it fixed and get back to fishing in about 20mins or so. /THF helps speed things up a bit too. I wish they would add a faster way of going from Lufaise to Rabao 20 times in one day.
Gugru are gonna suck more though.
Yeah, I did that when I could, at the time though no one was selling ancient lumber often so that became a limiting factor.
Getting Ebisu without WWing just blows period.
What's the minimum requirments for getting your rod fixed in Rabao?
I'm thinking of putting a mule there and then just DBing my broken rod from Tav. Might be a bit quicker than teleing there and back. Espeshly if you can go BRD/THF to get around quicker in Lufaise.
Knowing SE the requirments will be high. :(
Isn't it just a matter of Sandy fame ?
