Yea, that GM Alantinka is probably tasked with checking everyone across the servers in "popular" fish bot areas to check for them. She asked me to turn as well, and when I did, said "thank you" and literally walked to the next person and checked if he was botting as well.
As long as you stop and turn to her for about 10~20 secs and wave or something, she wont do anything to you at all. Poor girl however, to be given that job over normal GM duties all day...
Quick question on Pirate's Chart. I've always done it 3x SMN but was recently asked if BSTs could charm the crab and kraken and sic 'em on the Sahagin. My instinct is to say it wouldn't work, they're probably impossible to gauge... but in the interest of being thorough - anyone tried it?
Dunno if they're charmable, but you can also solo it as smn by using terrain to your advantage. Just grab everything on the beach that could interfere, then thunderspark them all as rumah and one shot em all, then pop like normal, using yag drink/cocoon/2 hour before they appear.
Then just judgement bolt > run to the right side of beach, where the cave is. You will see some trees and a small gap between them and the cliff. by running back and forth through the gap here, the monsters will take the long way around, giving you just barely enough time to cast ramuh again, use ether, and 2 hour them to death again.
I suggest summoning ramuh or grabbing a monster and playing with the area first to get a feel for the place and see how to turn them.
Heh, yeeeeah, the reason he asked is because he's lazy and doesn't wanna level summoning magic skill. Dunno if he'd be willing to risk the chart to find out if BST works, especially since at that level you don't get Call Beast to use as a backup.
last question about seagull/heron rings -
do they only load in the C.C. chest? in other words, do i need to wait 32 hours instead of 24? i don't think so, but wiki was, unsurprisingly, a bit vague.
i got lucky and someone posted a map w/ lost and found, fisherman and the trial by amnesia/silence, which is awesome b/c there was a maint. today.
Both my seagull and my heron were in the hoardbox, not the C.C. box.
Anyone able to move Lik's on their server? On Unicorn, the market seems dead.
I could push a few on my server still. I hold player names tight tho as there are prob a lot of fishers around. I would say this will be my last batch one the 3 people I have going now are done buying mine, as I dont know anyone else.
To few are going to aim for the rod with FF14 around the bend.
(I only sell lik, I might move onto gugs if they want to buy them as well. Tho sitting on around 200 lik right now so ya id like to sell them first lol I avg around ~50 a week right now.)
I gave up on liks ages ago when I saw someone bazaaring a full inv of them by zaldon for 12K each =/
I mostly profit on woodworking consumables now, its really all thats left for money nowadays aside from new armor that gets released by Se and eaten up by everyone for millions til they realize its worht tops 50K.
Oh wait, too bad woodworking hasn't gotten anything at all to really profit aside from panatiere =/
SE needs to make matsya do something or other that makes it worthwhile selling.
Currently we're sitting at on average 12 baits to catch her with apron.
Thats generally takes me about 40 cherax to pull off.
Thats a total of 64K.
I get 32K Zaldoning those and 25K from matsya. Essentially I lose 7K going after matsya.
SE either needs to make her worth 50K to npc to be worthwhile or make her like drop some epic item that makes it worthwhile.
I dunno what though, considering how hard it is to land her once and how rare items are from zaldon, I think something like a lure that #1 wont ever have your line snap and lose it assuming you're using ebisu and #2 targets, and only target,s legenedary fish, it might be worth it. Liks, gugras, titans, mola mola, sawfish, cherax, etc etc etc, and has a very nice bite rate on them all, that may be worth it.
Make it like, another R/E item you get from matsya, take it to ebisu guy after you finish indomitable spirit and he's like "Oh shit you're seriously a hardcore fisher ok here lemme make that into the ultimate of lures" or something, and gives you a new fishing line and the epic lure.
Lol
Dwarf Orobon
Level 1 Ammo All Races
This feisty beast will lure even the most dangerous of predators into a master fishermen's net. Getting it on the line however, is a challenge all into itself!
That or like a magian trial for fishing hat. 50 dwarf pugils, 50 cone calamary, 100 matsyas, gives you:
Fishing Cap
Level 1 Head all Races
Def: 1
Lowers rate of line snaps
Enhances skill at lowering fish's stamina
Increases Stamina while fishing
Fishing skill +1
Something like that.
I think 100 matsyas would be worth it, eh?
Removed.
Never Mind, FinalFisher is down everywhere.
FinalFisher or http://www.finalfishing.com/ ?
O_o;
Neh, they WERE 22K a pop on quetz before serve merge, >.<
Thing is all the prices for buying went up and all the prices for selling plummetted. I still don't get some of the prices on AH, Jacardna logs often cost up to twice as much as the lumber >_>;
Bloodwood lumber completely died, people buying staves for 40~50K and selling lumbers for the same price. Its a desynth so the average quetz wwer (I think there were 3-4 of us) would sell em for close to double to make up for the epic break rates.
Really I'm down to making money catching squids and turning em into shihei, the rest of fishing is slowly and surely dying out. Just the prime 6, nebs, blues, calamary, nobles, breams, and soles.
22k? holy christ, I had to fight with people on Caitsith to sell for 15k and that was jan 2009, they were down to 10k-12k when I quit, was very depressing.
SE really needed to add more fish. (or crafting at all) Little was done to keep the E rod people going. Outside of fishing for other people who would one day screw with you over pricing, what else was there for us to do?
Any new fish that they made had little to no use, it was bound to happen over a long period of time, it just took a few years.
Its really sad to get such a rare item and get little use out of it. Other crafts dont have a "relic" of theirs but we do, and our relic gets no use >.>
Yes the market dies out because the buyers become the sellers, and it floods. Imagine if buying sushi ups your cooking skill and eventually you can sell the sushi too! It'd be chaos![]()
