I don't use charges when I fish them in davoi. Goto the Davoi waterfall where the Davoi Mush/Malboro guy pops. Fish into it, sometimes the bite rate sucks, however that might be due to weather in the area.

They do have a bit of stamina on them, I don't think they dart around as much as most other 100~ Fish, If you can catch Ryugu Titan's without rings then you can catch these very easily as well.

Bite Rate is slightly better in Mis. Coast then in Davoi I have found, Whichever is more easily accessible to you is probably better, since it isn't that much better.

You shouldn't need any sort of sneak or invis for Mis. Coast or Davoi, as they're all Too Weak.

I seen your post about it talking about catching takitaro, But did have you tried yet on other fish?, Lik and Gugru specifically, as those fish regen a bit even at 100 fishing.

Was replying to the Takitaro post. I've heard it depletes most fish except lik/gugru. Have not really tested other fish yet.

About to try to go for Ebisu after a 3 year break of not doing it. No luck with penguins at all during that time and seeing they sell cheap makes me want to just buy a bunch off AH. Only real question is what are the rates on getting the items? I had around 15 Lik turned in a few years ago with no luck and havn't been able to get any since then (granted I never really tried after I realized how useless it was <.<).

Apparantly there is only one mob in the dats for that bc and it is speculated if you can get someone to hold it you will only fish up chests. Still hasn't been tested, but check the thread out, it could take a lot of pain out of penguin rings.

But this will only work if you have more than one brig chart... so you need to find a friend to go first or something. Pretty sure that fish will power up after awhile. I remember seeing an update about holding fished up mobs. (it was a long ass time ago so I have no idea if i'm just remembering bs)

I used the search but there was nothing specific about this. I know Ryugu bite on most things but is there anything particularly better than others? It's the competition fish for this period on Kujata and I want one of those skill up rings!

I tend to use bluetail and use the marlins I get as well for charts. It is very easy to tell the difference between a ryugu and any other !!! on the boat so the baits don't really matter much. If you wanna save space just use minnows from the boat npc and then you don't have to worry about bait.

im actually the one who did the statistical math based on available info on titanictus.com that you're referring to, and the only reason im posting is 1) im a 100 fisherman working towards ebisu, so the keep track emails are nice and 2) it was actually 1/139 on lik, gugrus were correct tho. ironically i got my opal silk on my 138th trade in.

what i did was of the available info out there at the time(mind you this was over a year go, there are many more ebisu out there now), was drop the lows and highs(sort of like figure skating lol) and then just average them. that sort of offset the bastards who went 1/4 on opal silks, or i remember there was some poor bastard who went 1/1800(not a typo) on his saber shoot, that tended to skew the results.

im currently 0/41 on my saber shoot, and have great difficulty with them on the al zahbi ferry, so i understand your want to buy from the AH kuno, but every time i do that(they run about 20-30k per on alexander), i end up just going 'zaldon is a whore and i blew 150k for nothing.' so statistically, keep at it, your liks should take you under 150, and under 300 gugrus to get your ebisu, tho i am tempted to crunch the numbers again, because i've seen a lot more saber shoots in the 100-120 turn in range that may lower the statistical average.

Gugru are fishable with just a Albatross ring. (this is how I fish them)
However
- You need a PS2 controller/PS2 (I hear a ps2 control on pc might work as well)
- You will not catch every single fish. You might not even catch a single fish some boats. I tried at 86 to catch gugru with no luck, tried 90-92 with no luck. Then hit 96 (as friend suggested) and they became catchable. Some are impossible to get in. However i've pulled in 20 a day with lushang when I was working on ebisu with just albatross ring.

you can. i've not used it personally, but a fellow fisher gave me the name of a program that will lag you sufficiently. im reticent to use it largely because in the same way one can get banned for fleehacking b/c they reset their computer's clock, i imagine that this program would be fairly detectable. the lag from pirates is sufficient from me. now if only i knew how to predict when they were coming prior to the boat leaving dock... >.>

also @kuno... unless you're level 100 fishing, yes i know the rigors of the penguin ring quest are brutal(i once went 1/126 w/o a chart, ironically, that chart was the one that dropped my first ring). however, if you're not 100 fishing, remember that titans bite bluetail, so you can skill and work on your charts as well.

oh, and for what its worth, lu shang + meatballs any time for brigand's chart. i don't know why, but for some reason, everyone i know who has used every variety of baits all agree that they have the best results with the aforementioned combination. also don't even bother trying brigands unless you have a controller, b/c you need to be able to rotate your camera without moving your character to open boxes and then continue fishing.

ah my bad, then yeah, i can totally understand why you'd hate gugrus... short of going out and getting a processor lagger, i'd see if you can scrounge up an old ps2(i started on ps2, then xbox, now windows through boot camp on my imac) for cheap on ebay. otherwise, a ps2 controller can be very easily rigged into a comp.

gluck tho, i actually rehooked up my ps2(the drive died so no WoTG) for the sole purpose of continuing the quest for ebisu.
