I would fish 20, warp, sell, run back and fish 20 more. Repeat until fatigue. Ive easily done over 100 Haku in 1 day, just never more then about 20 at once.

Maybe we can only handle so much of them nibbling on our rods before we have to take a break.

Was a bad run with a lot of breaks but still managed a decent number.

I will go back to fishing hakuryu tomorrow to check myself, need gil anyway, so i parked out there just before maint, lol.

JUST MY OWN PERSONAL IDEA AT THE TIME:
Well, this morning before maint I was fishing as usual in Beauc and decided that perhaps zoning would help my bite rate get better. So I ran to the zone line, zoned, came back and started fishing again. Guess what? I fished for an HOUR until maint started with not a single Hakuryu bite. NOT ONE! I had a few monsters/logs bite...but that was it. Who knows, maybe these fish are just retarded -.-

EDIT: Twixy, do you use Sinkers or just regular Minnows?

I wouldn't stop writing the plugin, as some people would likely use it.

But yeah, there are a couple of bots that provide such information.

So, tested again yesterday and completely capped out after 35 fish. Still not seeing how it is possible to fish 100+ in a day... I even zoned after fishing 20, ran back, fished 15 more and hit my cap. Who the hell knows~

How do you know you're "hitting your cap". That's what I don't understand :/

Uhh...because I can't catch anything else after I've caught those 35ish fish. And yes, I've warped and tried fishing other places. I'm pretty sure after getting 100 no catches in a row no matter where I'm fishing, I've hit my cap

That seems really weird. Like I said before, I've gotten 10-20 no catches in a row some times... but I can *always* catch more than 35 if I fish long enough.. (although I tend to get < 30 per day on average due to time constraints).

For comparison:

I'm 100 fishing. I fish in Smock, Waders, +1 legs, +1 hands. I use Ebisu Rod + Sinking Minnow. Rings are Noddy and Puffin. Sometimes I have fishing guild support, sometimes I do not. I have no guild furniture (yet) because I hate going to windurst for GP.

What differs in your setup?

Tried waiting a couple hours then trying again? I'm running out of ideas on how you can never catch more than ~30, seems odd.

Also! I just realized we're about to be on same server Nitsuj! We can be fishing buddies

I do know zones have a limited number of fish to catch.

If i recall correctly, back in the fish dupe days (when you could hook a fish and reel it in unlimited number of times), no one else in qufim could catch sole.

Maybe the number of that fish is a lower limit as well? Its possible tons of ppl on your server fish the fish and deplete the daily "pool" of fish?

Really I have no idea why I'm only able to catch so little fish. It can't be that Beauc has run out of Hakuryus, because I get no bites from ANYTHING after I hit fatigue. I even warp back to jeuno and try to catch some black sole or ANYTHING for that matter, nothing bites. For hundreds of casts, -nothing bites.-

Anyways, ninsuj, my setup is almost exactly like yours, except I use angler's boots+1 because I don't have waders yet. Same rings, same bait, etc. The -only- thing I can think of is that my mog house aura is a strong fire aura. Would that fkk up my ability to catch fish? I have the fisherman's stall but sadly my mog is too decorated with other stuff to get the moghancement from it >.>

I have Moghancement: Fire aswell so it must be something else. I don't have any fishing furniture nor the smock. In fact, I fish in Chefs Turban and Windurst aketon...maybe thats the secret?!

(Personally, I can only think that Mafai might be right since only 4 people fish haks consistently here on Carbuncle but, that wouldn't explain why you can't hook anything at all.)

Yeah it seems plausible, except for the fact that Cheech went out there after me and fished up a bunch more...so that can't be it. I don't know, maybe I just suck or SE hates me or something

I spend more time in Glacier than I do in abyssea, so I'm sure we'll be hanging out quite a bit

I'd be interested in doing something like this, except collect data from users running it. Users can choose to submit the data anonymously for statistic purposes, or publicly so you can track your daily results.
