It looks like the reduction is just ID4*0.7
I still don't see what the "maybe 3 = 10, 6 = 20, 9 = 30, 12 = 40, 15 = 50, 18 = 60, 21 = 60, 24 = 70, 27 = 80, 30 = 90, 33 = 100?" is talking about ?

I typed it out in a previous post. I think its actually a 4 > 3 > 3 pattern
Do you not think it's more likely to be just a % decrease instead of a fixed pattern depending on the value?
I haven't done every fish so it could very well be, but atm the pattern is showing to be true. I'm going to look deeper into the ID4 pattern and see if I'm correct.
Keep in mind what I'm talking about is the reduction to the ID4 value during Angler's Senses.
This is what I have. I fished for 2hr minnow, 2hr sinking minnow, 1hr minnow, 2 hr sinking minnow, 1hr minnow
minnow
4 hours
32 haks
18 line breaks
36% line break
235 trash fish (86 gigant squid, rest bluetail and cone calamary)
34 monsters
23 items
292 released in total
119 no catch
411 wasted casts
461 total casts
sinking minnow
4 hours
41 haks
28 line breaks
40.6% line break
102 trash fish, all black sole
39 monster
77 items
218 released in total
209 no catch
427 wasted casts
496 total casts
I will continue compiling data as long as my minnows last. And possibly add more when I need to fish liks again.
Even if they were perfectly even on hak catches, I would still do sinking because it's less active fishing. The higher % of no catch means I don't have to constantly cancel fish means its a more pleasant fishing time. I hereby therefore declare minnow dead to me until further study.
Has anyone noticed that fishing is taking longer than usual? The day before yesterday (day after the update) i thought it was just me when i only caught 150 fish in 6 hours, however yesterday, i caught 116 fish. Usually, in those 6 hours i'm typically close to fatigue.
I don't think moon phases have that much of a dramatic affect on successful catches, so i'm at a lost for what could be causing this. Although, i suspect that this might be SE's new way to deter fish botters. Any ideas?
Every fish you've posted follows the pattern of "ID4 with sense = ID4 without * 0.7" with the value always being rounded down.
If you convert that into a reduction, you get that "reduction = value - floor(value * 0.7)". And that's exactly the table you made. It'll follow a 3-3-4 pattern, because of the remainders. So both equations are saying the same thing (basically).
I'm nearly sure zoning to reset soft fatigue is placebo at best, but long ago it was an urban myth I was convinced of as well, so who knows. I'd need to parser my results to have any certainty, but I'm nearly sure any difference perceived can be attributed to placebo.
Would that be a 3-3-4 pattern? or could it fit the 4-3-3 one instead? I'm not sure what floor means :x, round down?
Okay, I did it in excel and this is what I got:
Spoiler: show
Maybe I'm wrong on the pattern but Hakuryu still hits the 24 at 8 reduction.
Forget any pattern stuff. Just look at it like regular ID4 * .7 = angler sense ID4
Yea, you all are right. It matches every fish I have found so far.
Are we saying that Critical Bite = 30% fish stamina reduction? That would make sense.... and is a good hypothesis at least.
Also, I got my first critical bite on Hakuryu (your keen angler skills tell you this is a hakuryu) and also got ID4 = 24 (old) and 16 (new).
0.7 rounded down pattern fits.
err wait, i miss read
I did a fast calculation Nitsuj:
Spoiler: show
It's not always 30% but it should be for the higher values at least. Any value under 10 doesn't fit that though.
I am really wondering about the critical bites on hakuryu. I need to go back and fish liks/gugs or maybe even some crocodilos. I am wondering if perhaps the only thing needed for critical bite is that your skill be higher than what the fish will skill you up to? For example even if haks were level 200, you can only skill up on them to 100, so with 100+1 you could get a critical bite.
If noone else tests lu shangs on haks for critical bite in.......... two more weeks >.> I will give it a shot.
I think it has to be higher or close to the cap, the high above the fish cap the more often you get a critical. I was getting a bunch when I was testing it on Icefish
wondering what I should be doing today. I could finish my fish ID list, or I can try to determine the rate of Angler's Senses on crayfish and then go up every 10 levels and see where exactly the rate starts to fall.
