Yeah I'm fishing with Ebisu for Sea Zombies with meatballs and not a single one in two boat rides... I'm starting to think it's extremely rare, or I just have the worse luck ever.

I have question about pirate chart quest.
what is happening right now is me and my smn friend will use diamond dust on the sahagin, then we use assault on the sahagin and start running to selbina. The sahagin dies very fast after assault and the shivas follow us to selbina along with the sea monk and crab. For some reason hate is on me and my friend, not on shiva. We have to manually assault the sea monk and the crab to kill them and one of us always dies and sometimes both of us die because the crab and sea monk hundred fist the shivas to death as soon as we /assault them and there's no time to resummon.
What are we doing wrong here.
I've been wondering about this... rotten meat, i'll remember that.
Yea I've always, always, used meatballs for seazombies and never had a problem before. But recently I was trying to do them and no luck, at all. No matter how hard I tried. Kept getting silver sharks or w/e :\
If I don't get this damn neck by tomorrow then I don't care how long it took me to get up to level 4 casket (4 days btw, 4!) I'm gonna give up and do it casually. This is ridiculous, I've been in 1 zone, and no others, for almost a week. FOR 2 SKILL. FU SE~ FU~....:\
I will be doing tests on that after I get smock on my 2nd ebisu. Though I said the same thing about puffin and I haven't gotten around to testing that either.
Man... There's two people on the boat with me fishing gugs without either ring. And one of them is doing it with a lu shang... Wtf. At least make some effort to appear legit. Does SE just not give a shit anymore?
Anyone happen to know all the zones the hakuryu fish are. I know they are in Abyssea altepa and the glacier and is there any other ones in none abyssea zones.
thx urat
I'm starting to think that the "Increases stamina while fishing" rings must also reduce the fatigue impact of a fish when you catch it, maybe the algorithm SE uses to calculate stamina loss is more like:
A = Fish's "Fatigue value"
B = Time to catch fish
C = Max time alloted to catch fish (As seen by some fish having short time to catch, while others have longer)
So maybe fatigue impact = A*(C/B), the longer you take to catch it out of max time will lower fatigue impact based on initial value set in fish ID, but thats stored on the server not on our side, so itd be a 5th Fish ID on SE's servers.
How do you measure fatigue impact? Is that just increasing the delay between when you can cast? Even if it has no effect on the max number of fish you can catch?
increases it past the 213ish cap?
Need a bit of advise. Not sure if I should get my waders now or just wait and save up for the signpost, I currently have 95k GP and ebisu.
Targeting haks ofc but I'm not should which option would be better, I'm leaning to wait and save though
Both give you +1 skill over the other, so really it's up to you.
If you have a sign from another guild get waders first, its easier to equip a piece of gear than have to reset your moghancement everytime you swap crafts.
Otherwise get waders first so that little +1 skill will kindofbutnotreally help you get the sign faster... but not really
Order should be something like:
Serpent Rumors
Fishing Stall
Apron
Net and Lure?
Waders
Signpost
And then finally fishing hole map if you wanna go for 100% completion.
So far it seems, if indeed we did calculate how mega moglification works, max +fishing skill you can get is:
base: 100
Smock + Hands + Waders + Feet + Torque = +7
Guild support = +2
Ebisu = +46
The Big One + Map + Signpost + Fishing Stall + Net/Lure = +5 skill? Or something like that? I swore I read somewhere that using mega moglification each piece of furniture created a cumulative +1 effect, so all 5 pieces of furniture = +5 skill? I dunno.
If so then total is 46+5+7+2 = +60 fishing skill, for a whopping total of 160 fishing skill, wow?
Thats a lot of firepower @_@;
You know. When I was testing that autoregen on titanictus, I noticed there were at least 3 different speeds that the autoregen could go. I wonder if those are also related to fish level. If so, that could be another way to test how much skill each item gives if we could find a fish that we can trigger those tiers of HP regen. Note I am not saying for definite that there are 3 tiers of hp regen, just that I was able to notice 3 different times that the autoregen on the fish had slowed significantly, and that is evidence that there might be 3 tiers. I should have tested that while I was doing it but can't anymore since that account is 100 now.
I think it may be a bit more complicated than that, since afaik wooden rods vs synthetic have different depletion rates, which might mean our system of measuring fish's level by depletion is bogus because it depends what rod we use.
I guess I can try building a program to calculate depletion / regen rates to give us more solid numbers, then I can keep tossing on gear and combo it with varying rods to see what happens.
