So not really then. Sucks.
30k is a bit high..... gugs are catchable almost as fast as hakuryu so it is worth their time even at 15k per fish when you account for bait annoyance, ferry etc, rings. If I were you I would try to talk them down to 20k...
You're catching 13 gugs in 6 hours when ebisu can catch that many in an hour and a half. It just isn't worth it to fish them yourself. When I catch gugs for my friends I do about 80 gugs per day over a weekend and let them pay me back afterwards.
Ebisu is much harder to get than level 80 Empyreans.
Motherfucking period.
Ebisu is way harder to get than Empys. Obviously not as hard as relic or mythic, but definitely harder than Empy. All you need for Empy is ability to triobox and spend your entire day on the computer...which for a lot of people is rather easy. And even if AH doesn't want to give us points, they should at least make it a visible achievement! /rant
I dont see so many people fishing these anymore, use to be i would go and enter the fish ranking and see any number of bazaars full of lik/gug all 15-20k. I dont mind dropping another 10mil to try and finish this but ill be damned if im gona drop 30mil due to peoples greed, id rather take another 5 years to finish and do it myself.. lol.
As for the Empy is easier.. i agree, my LS will have 6 completed lvl 90s the end of this week, taken like 3 months on and off. took me that just to get Opal Silk and been working on Saber shoot twice as long. It should be classed as relic on FFAH.
The only reason they refuse to is because of the 1% of players who go 1/10 on the items.
Quetz unfortunately.. lol
Wow... the vendor on the ferry can run out of stock on sinking minnows?... I bought 3 and it turned disabled. WTH? >.> I always always always buy 30 at a time and never had any issues (though 1 time I found that they were 1.2k each or something, I guess it makes sense now).
The price is independent on all ferries so if its too high on one go to another. I buy as many sinking mumbled as I can and it always runs out and then its 4k per Minnie next time.
My buddy is saying he caught 242 fish by having full inventory around 100 fish and still got skillups on the released ones.(only kept 100 total, released 142) Said he's gonna test starting out with full inventory tomorrow and see how many he can get.
Confirm or deny
I read about that a long time ago, people saying they caught like 100 legitely for gil and not to feel too much of fatigue. Then filled inventory and skilled up from there without additional fatigue. True or false I DO NOT KNOW!
You can catch 100+ legit if you sit at the PC for 10~16 hours, lol (even with full inventory releasing). Really not possible to go over 50 Haku/Ebisu fish without going into the realm of crazy/botting. Or maybe you just have nothing to do but fish all day. Apart from that, no fatigue and skill ups on non caught fishes, a friend told me about it a while ago as well.
He is in talacca cove. He did eventually hit fatigue at 242 fish though. I thought they had patched it a while back so you couldn't do that though? Or am I making shit up.
As a note, there are plenty of people who you can merc to buy your way to empyrean items, and you can make gil by fishbotting just as easily as fishbotting your ebisu, therefor you could theoretically fishbot an empyrean weapon just like ebisu![]()
Yeah except people on Phoenix charge over 200k per single empy item. Good luck with that >.>
Quetz AH shows gugs selling at 20k a pop. If you're having significant issues getting these bad boys in, go with what you can do. That's either fishing minimal amounts (the ugly 2 fish on 4 break. I myself went 2 liks in 6 breaks at one point.), fish up the gil and camp your AH/contact the sellers, or a mix of the two. At minimum if you are going to fish them up, I would suggest having 2 lu shangs around if you can't repair them yourself.
Personally, I say burn the cash. Though it may be an ugly road now, anything you shell out will quickly be fixed once you have your ebisu.
