Yuck. Thank god our group's MNK finished his H2H before the server merge. Twashtar path is bad enough but I cant imagine doing Verethragna path on Phoenix. So overpopulated/overpriced to do anything here. I want Titan back -.-

Quetz AH shows gugs selling at 20k a pop. If you're having significant issues getting these bad boys in, go with what you can do. That's either fishing minimal amounts (the ugly 2 fish on 4 break. I myself went 2 liks in 6 breaks at one point.), fish up the gil and camp your AH/contact the sellers, or a mix of the two. At minimum if you are going to fish them up, I would suggest having 2 lu shangs around if you can't repair them yourself.

Personally, I say burn the cash. Though it may be an ugly road now, anything you shell out will quickly be fixed once you have your ebisu.

Yeah that would be the normal idea.. but the guy selling them on the AH wont reply.. to anyone.. and only puts 5-7 up at a time. Also there are 3 other people buying so im not going to spend my day sat at the AH. I dont need 2 rods either as i have WW100. Gil isnt and never has been the issue.. the issue is getting the fish in large amounts from people that 1. Aint greedy. and 2. Are willing to actually trade face to face.

If gil isn't the issue then pay the 30k. Fuck it. It's still worth it even at that amount, every day you don't have ebisu is -EV. I bought the vast majority of my gugs for 25-27k when I did mine.

OK I'm fishing Liks here with my Ebisu. Does fishing with an Ebisu give you more time to catch Liks?

I dunno about lu on liks. I *thought* that you needed albatross back in the day to fish liks with ebisu. But that may have just been because I started fishing them when I was level 80 or so. But today I do not need albatross to catch them with ebisu.

I am wondering why I have so much time to pull this thing up. I'm using Ebisu and minnow.
I wanted to test what the bite rate was using my puffin and noddy ring was, and was surprised that when I got one on the line I was allowed more than a minute to pull it up.

Long strings of "you didn't catch anything" may be server-wide. Or perhaps IP specific...... but that seems unlikely.

POIDH, my time ranges from 20~25 seconds with ring, depending on moonphase. Run timestamp plugin on windower, catch a lik, and SS so we can see the time from hook to landing. Until then, I am highly doubtful. (sadly I also know how exceptionally easy it is to shoop this and me asking for POIDH is pointless anyways)

Well I currently have two characters in different zones. And they both get long strings of didn't catch/items/monsters only simultaneously. And it clears up simultaneously. This has happened 4 times now, so I am thinking it has to be a server-wide thing. I bet it's the moon phase.
