How frequently do Ryugu Titans snap Lu's? I'm able to deplete their stamina a decent amount of the time, but don't enjoy trips to Rabao.

I'd say 20% of the time with another 10% being line snaps. You can kind of avoid getting rod breaks (but also not catch the Titan) by reeling in at around 10-15% stamina, which should give you a 'lack of skill' message which gives you a skillup chance. Doesn't help if you're catching them for gil, but it's a way to skill off them a bit more safely.

Ok, another update on my fishing "journey" or whatever. I'm 27.9 at the moment. I'm dying to hit 28 so I can start GP, and today's item would be Dark Bass for me, so not so bad. I fished to 26.3 on Nebs but finally got sick of the ferry, so I start fishing up Shall Shells. I figure I can make much more money fishing those even I have to NPC them (not selling fast enough at 7k) than targeting Noble Ladies, Cones, and Bluetail on the ferry.

I was praying that the fish ranking be Gugru Tuna, and guess what?! It is. The problem I'm having is that it's asking for the heaviest one, and so far the heaviest one I've caught (537) is still very far from the max (610). I haven't really kept track, but I've caught at least 100 Tunas by now.

My question: is it really that hard to get a good submission for the contest? I have 12 more days until it's over, but I don't want to spend the next 12 days fishing Tuna.

You should be ok with the 537. Personaly I don't fish more than about 10 fish for the competition lol. If you win, you win, if you don't, better luck next time.

Thanks for the advice. I think I'm going to fish Tunas for one more day though just because I can skill up on them anyway.

GP - I got 0.3 fishing up the 36 Dark Bass last night, and today's item is Crayfish so I'm just buying those.

9th Place overall! Copper Hook, 1K Gil, and last, but not least, Pelican Ring!

My Gugru Tuna was in a 3-way tie for 9th at 573 Pz. First place was 599 Pz. I think the 20th place was 553 Pz.

Just keep adjust those 2 bars back and forth till you can get to the point when you hold down the key for text while you in the game, the text need to be typing right as soon you hit the key and it need to stop right away when you let go the key. THIS TEST MUST BE DONE IN GAME TYPING.

#3: fishing buff
a: remember to get the buff from the lady in whitegate that ask for a bronze coin

#4: draining
a: remember to taps the key, not holding down the key when draining gugu hehe we called it gugu cause hard to remember how to spell the whole name.
b: concentrate on your taping and taps it like crazy (may have to unequip your linkshell, so you don't get distract. I have noted that gugu let you drain it fast for the first couple swings, but after that, it will start owning you

Try for an entire week, before jumping to conclusions. I've had days where I would get 1 lik bite (max) in 20mins fishing. Fishing can be incredibly random some times, regarding bite rates.

SE accidently (or purposely) nerfed fishing from the cliffs in Bubu. Atleast, the cliff at the cove I tried fishing from is now broken (SE corner of the zone). Try switching to the beach in either Bub or dunes and you should be fine.

I tried from the beach before with I think 3 shells in 30 minutes. I was using a Robber Rig though, maybe Rogue works better?

Anyone have a good skillups spot at 58? I'm getting OKish skill ups in SSG using Lu's+Shrimp Lure and getting lots of Breams, but that place is getting a bit boring.

Is there fishing fatigue from not doing any sort of fishing for a long time?

I went to the cliffs of Bubu yesterday during the new moon and fished for a good 15 mins or so and didn't even get a bite with a Lu Shang and both robber and rogue ribs. If there is such a thing, how long does it last and how did I even trigger it to begin with (looking for a duration of time I need to avoid going without fishing)?

It struck me as weird that it was not mentioned in any update details, maybe it was done because there were a couple of fishbots spaming Shall Shells. Just frustrates me because i could make good money and get skill up legitimately, sucks that (If it was to prevent fishbots) i'm now at a disadvantage because of other peoples' greed.

If SE did this 'accidentaly', would they know of it by now?
