Hello everyone,

First time poster and have read most of these pages. I have seen reference to my issue but the link to titanicus site Titanictus.Com :: View topic - How to slow down your PC for gugrusaurus does no longer work. Site doesn't exist now so hoping there is another link to another site or perhaps my questions can be answered here.

I have a very fast computer. Rarely can I reel in gugrusaurus. I have lagged my computer down running programs in back ground. Sometimes it works other times its impossible. Like the rod goes balistic. I wonder even if same fish can change difficulty reeling in?

1. This cpukiller program how does it work? Need any special knowledge, tweaking etc.. I have a dual core system
a. do I need to turn off programs in background like anti virus
2. I have seen reference to use cpukiller to lag pc down to 10fps - how do you see fps?
3. Even using this cpukiller will I loose fish still ? trying to set expectation
4. Just made a fishing stall. Have the mega aura. Do I need to still get the signpost and other furniture to have full benefits? I am 105 skill level
5. I have in years pass reeled in alot of gugrus....is there a way to know how many you have reeled in to date?

Sometimes when I fish Haku I forget to take off my gaiters and put the Waders on... and I seem to notice a long stretch of 0 Haku every time... Then I put on Waders and my next fish always *seems* to be a Haku... Probably just coincidence... but has anyone else noticed this?

Maybe you have to hit a certain skillup to break a tier on haku bites?

I don't know about anything that dramatic but yes overall bite rate is a bit better with waders. Like right now I fish my main and alt that just got ebisus together and even starting at same exact times and such at the end of the day main always comes out better. Though also have fishing megamoglification on main too. But it's not like a huge difference. Heck even in the short run my alt has pulled ahead. And since it has alot more invent space that helps balance how much I catch a day

I *think* I can notice an extremely marginal difference between mule with nothing but stall and AH fishing gear compared to my main with stall signboard and smock. And the long stretch of 0 haku is for everyone in the zone. Though I can't rule out that more skill may let you bypass the dead period somehow.

I haven't fished much lately other than some gugs when they were selling for real high prices, but the mega-mog, or wahtever it is, sure makes fish bite (or not bite) a hell of a lot faster it seemed.

Yeah so just did it making sure to start stop at same time for whole day. Main 199 (so close lol) alt 151. Now main has gp body waders and a few fishing furnishings including stall over the alt. So yeah could've been a few factors in that

I don't have anything that logs too well but I did notice that main break rate ended up being about 2 catch to 1 break while alt stayed at around 1.5 catch to 1 break. So thinking yes that couple of skill or maybe some hidden effect of stall does in fact effect bite rate. Idk I'll try again and again as my alt gets more stuff

Unless I was reading incorrectly the discussion they were having is how their char with stall and +1 gear gets more bites. My argument was since they're all talking about eyeball data that the reason they're catching more fish is because they're wasting less time waiting for something to bite or not bite. Thus in the long run they see more haks because of increased number of casts per hour, not because they have a higher bite rate of haks.

Do you need albatross for haks if you're slowing PC down or on PS2?

Not for the vast majority of them, but sometimes you'll get one that's a bitch and won't be able to reel it in with the time allowed without ring. Or at least that is my experience, maybe if I was asian I would have the superhuman fingers and could catch them all. I think haks are a waste of ring charges though, I save them for gugs.

What was the final verdict on minnow v. sinking minnow on haks? Sinking minnow are obviously more expensive and more time consuming to gather up, but worth it?


edit: idk if it matters but I just got keen sense message with gug, I remember that being discussed awhile back.

I'd say sinking not worth it. I've caught 199 hak's with minnow in a game day before.

I get about 180 with minnow. Always caps with sinking, with time to spare.
