hehe well I got that box one single time in countless hours and days and years of fishing. so you might still be able to do that and get away with it. i was just saying, sleep fishing wouldnt be 100% sure no matter what tweaks you use atm.
(cept broadcasting the left bottom part of the screen into your dreams might help).

edit: possibly GMs dont use these boxes often cause eventually they might use it on someone that is more clever with computers than me and would actually read out the memory for information on those boxes and then detect it the next time.

I'm curious, just how much of a bonus are you able to get fishing skill with furniture? I've been working like a maniac on guild points to get the signboard/map, and I already have the Net and Lure + Stuffed "Big one" + Fishermn. Stall in my house. I even went and had Stockfish made (mostly for looks lol).

Additionally, can having multiple Net and Lures in your house give you even more skill?

Idk, I don't think anyone has tested due to fishing skill being fairly irrelevant other than for fun completion sake. Also not tested, but common sense would say no to the net and lure question. because it gives a KI.

That's crazy, I've never even been contacted by a GM while fishing, but I also skilled to 100 the painfully manual way lol.

I did at first. Without even really knowing what I was doing either lol. Didn't get my first GM contact for years after that. Then a little bit after that got one on both characters I was using. Assumed it was someone who was butt hurt over me. Then this one where they were spamming the zone. Then again it has been awhile since I called someone in. I can't stand people that make it look obviously like they are botting bringing attention to me the guy next to them. Like say trying to fish while a mob is attacking you... and not accept the R3 afterward

Used to get this shit a lot and my account was ps2 only. Was pretty annoying to have to get up out of my pimp chair and pause net flix(was on tv next to ps2), and find a keyboard to talk to some assfuck GM. I always thought they could see if I was on ps2, 360 or PC but they seemed to have no fucking clue.

1.) Have an old SS that GM used this box technique on me years ago
2.) Talked to SGM about how it was harassing and SGM told me everything they do to catch botters but I don't remember them
3.) SGM then whitelisted me so I'd never get in trouble again

I will take a picture if I see it again. At that time though, I never assumed the box would be rare so I didn't bother to take a picture.

I know I saw it, got a heart attack and pressed no, I am not botting ASAP. And then gm said never mind me and got the fuck out.
But that's just me. Maybe I was too suspicious fishing in nashmau in dalma without any fishing+ gear on that the gm assumed I d be an easy catch.

When I googled for this box back then, I also saw that picture on ffevo where the gm asked some stupid question like tarutaru > galka? Or something lol... I wouldn't even know what option to select.

But I don't intend nor need prove anything. Feel free to believe it doesn't exist. That's a very reasonable philosophy. Probably I wouldn't believe it either if I was you.

Actually I'm kinda intrigued by the box being so rare or even removed. So maybe I should grind a relic in my sleep now...lol

Edit: now when I think back that box happened to me at the time when people were auto jailed for running with mazurka through tahrongi. Cause I remember half the ls joking about the fact that several people have gotten GMed or jailed in a single day. It was when se introduced that kind of auto-gm. They removed that tool again though didn't they. So maybe that's where the boxes went to as well.

A long time ago, in the days of Aery drama and what not, my entire LS got jailed for "holding" fafnir (or was it nidhogg? idr, it was at like 76%, and we were damaging it... altho a bit slowly :/)

Anyway, we ended up just kinda chilling in jail with the GM, he was cool. We ended up posing for screenshots and stuff. He kinda started hitting on my female friend, and made some box pop up with silly choices, and she lol'd. (well, not hitting, but being "extra friendly", lol)

Yeah, it's not a "personal" account, but I was there when it happened, and she told me what he did, and I've been incredibly good friends with this person for almost 10 years, she wouldn't have made up something stupid like that.

I can ask her for specifics tomorrow, if she even remembers. (I have a really good memory ._.)

The box prompts are very real. They also like to spam a number of boxes in a quick successive manner to try and catch you off guard as well. If you wanna see it, go fish in Vunk [S] constantly for Trumpet Shells, GMs like to hit up that area because RMT still work the place.
