They accept entries for 2 weeks, then display the results for 2 weeks, then repeat.

I'm level 55 fishing at the moment. Working toward Ebisu but I'd like to know which guild items I should prioritize getting first. Also if anyone has a good idea for a spot to skill up I'd appreciate the info.

get a shrimp lure and park your ass in nashmau or talacca cove until 90+ (or until ebisu)

Kinda depends on how fast you can get fish I'd say. If you have money and supplier... or someone that supplies for free then yeah rumors. If you think it might take you a good while to get ebisu items then maybe something like body or stall

Sorry, I meant aside from the obvious key items. I guess I was asking if there is a priority for getting certain items first?

Stall > Signboard > Apron > Waders or does it not really matter much?

I asked for similar advice before and this was the response I got, it was helpful.

Both give you +1 skill over the other, so really it's up to you.

If you have a sign from another guild get waders first, its easier to equip a piece of gear than have to reset your moghancement everytime you swap crafts.

Otherwise get waders first so that little +1 skill will kindofbutnotreally help you get the sign faster... but not really

Order should be something like:

Serpent Rumors
Fishing Stall
Apron
Net and Lure?
Waders
Signpost
And then finally fishing hole map if you wanna go for 100% completion.

So far it seems, if indeed we did calculate how mega moglification works, max +fishing skill you can get is:
base: 100
Smock + Hands + Waders + Feet + Torque = +7
Guild support = +2
Ebisu = +46
The Big One + Map + Signpost + Fishing Stall + Net/Lure = +5 skill? Or something like that? I swore I read somewhere that using mega moglification each piece of furniture created a cumulative +1 effect, so all 5 pieces of furniture = +5 skill? I dunno.

If so then total is 46+5+7+2 = +60 fishing skill, for a whopping total of 160 fishing skill, wow?

Stall is an obvious first choice then since it's 15k or 20k GPs then. Beyond that it's not really necessary if you ask me. My 94ish skill mule with stall, ebisu, and AH skill gear sometimes gets more haks in the same amount of time as my main with ebisu, all GP items, and fancy shit. Once i got stall + serpent rumors on mule I switched to goldsmithing gps and didn't feel bad at all.

Body is somewhat useful. Theres a rather noticeable difference between my mule with stall and the one without and my main with like everything. Been kinda too busy to do too indepth of a parse and well record of all of them at the same time. But from last night. It's 96, 83, 56. Which is about what has been as far as relationship of catches between characters. There is some variance and for brief times weird shit happens like my main being the lowest and the new guy being the highest but over all it follows whoever has the most fishing stuff catches more. Though since I got stall on first mule it's now just barely under my main

i'm looking for some advice to break my Lu Shang constantly so i can lvl my WW72, my Fishing skill is 90, i don't have Albatross/Penguin or MMM rings, so Ryugu, Liks or Gugru not possible for me yet, don't get them even below 75% , i tried some lvl100 fish like Sea Zombie, Titanictus, Giant Chirai, but my Lu Shang didn't break once yet. Any opinions without having those rings?

I believe Cave Cherax break Lu in Quicksands. Also they NPC for over 1k gil so it can be decent money (at least to cover the crystals).

If you have Serpent Rumors key item from fishing guild you can fish Lik and turn them in for the Ebisu items as well.

Why aren't you getting ryuga below 75%? I used to sometimes accidentally catch them when I was going for sea zombies and such before I had any of that

Titans suck ass balls on some PCs. I can't catch them on my main PC without albatross, even with albatross the god damn rod whips around nonstop and makes it near impossible to ever deplete the stamina bar. On my shitty laptop they're much easier.

Ah yeah. Iirc the better your computer is the harder it is to pull up. Which is why ps2 is often the easiest to fish if you don't use a bot. That being said a bot will respond fast enough or you could use a program to slow down the CPU to stop it from doing that as much.
