Got saber shoot and opal silk on soon to be 3rd ebisu character!

1/80ish on Lik and 1/150ish on Gugs...shit gets easier as you have more ebisus to fish the liks and gugs with!

My 3rd one was actually harder than my 2nd. But that's mostly because it was like 600ish gugs and 500ish liks or something. Way more than my other 2 combine anyways. Mostly it's the gugs though. Lik's can just sit there and get tons real fast over a long time. Stupid boat fishing /rage

Has SE released any news for Dorado Gars? Are they going to be included in the inside the belly quest?

And my 2nd character is at 0/250 on liks....i can't even imagine how difficult it's going to be with gugs. : \

Even if dorado gar weren't on the list, my response is "Matsya first, everything else later!" I still have 20-30 rotting on a mule.

Granted, as time goes on, it seems to be more apparent that the 25k NPC price was the whole point of catching Matsya, but the effort and time necessary never made much sense. I wish they would just add it to Zaldon's list, even if it was just for the chance of finding a flint stone in one of them. At least then I could NPC them guilt-free and move on!

Didn't we get that one thing in the question period where SE dropped the hint that Matsya may get added to Zaldon?

I'm guessing we gotta wait til the 99 cap, Matsya seems like such a huge challenge for fishing that it will be involved in some new quest to get a new fishing something or other.

inb4 SE: If you trade a matsya to Zaldon you have a small chance of obtaining a minnow that although the line may break, you will never lose....

I tried it for a couple of weeks. It almost seemed profitable if it wasn't for the monsters eating all the bait... or having to spend a few days fishing up bait for 1 day of fishing up matsya. Of course hakuryu would still probably blow it out of the water now

I just save the bait i get from fishing zombies when I'm titan or marlin fishing on the boat when i catch a pirate boat, then just get a little bonus here and there.

I just use what is listed on wiki and final fishing. They usually pretty about right min/max. Not exact but close
