what type of cruor pt nets that kind of income? 500k/hr is like what? 200k cruor an hour? i didnt think blu cleaves made more than like 70k cruor/hr, minus the cost of keys which pretty much removes one character's gain entirely.

also, has anyone found out the relationship between fishing skill level and hakuryu? i just got my alt's ebisu, shes still at 86 skill, whereas my main is 100+4, yet the alt is pulling in more hakuryu, and snapping less lines than my main, its blowing my mind. and how do you guys pull in 200 hakuryu a day? how many trips to get lures does that take daily

A true cruor PT is not a cleave PT. You have 2 piles of mobs, and you rotate which mob your killing to build your "cruor chain".

Bird > Bat > Bird > Bat ... and you will get 500-600 cruor per kill if you continue this.

people fish 24/7 on characters with sack / satchels full of lures. You could do it in 1 trip if you setup your inventory right, but more then likely its gonna be 2 trips.

can you recommend a good location for this? but by my math i dont really think hitting 200k cruor an hour that way is even possible. you would have to kill 333 mobs in an hour, or 6 mobs per minute. even if the 2 mob families were smashed together, it would be difficult.

edit: my bite/catch rate must suck then, if i were to leave my characters on for 24 hours, i -might- get 200 between the 2 of them. id say if i catch 50, i have somewhere between 30-50 line breaks, sometimes up to 70, depending on moon and all that good stuff. Considering my main and alt are close for both catches and breaks, but at a 18 skill level difference, i dont think the answer is +fishing skill

500k gil would be 189k cruor. So assuming 600 per kill that's 315 an hour 5.25 a min which really isn't that fast. 11 seconds is a long time for a mob to live when most good DDs can one shot or almost one shot them. Also you either have pullers or you split groups to ones killing one set of mobs another killing the other. It also only ends up taking about 4-5 good players to keep kill speed up that high. Of course you wont get 600 each kill in fact you probably wont average that much but the rest is made up in random empheral/avatar kills and chest. Also current prices on cells which sell very fast and the price seems rather steady is slightly better cruor/gil ratio

As far as blu cleaving.... if you are solo cleaving sell leech spots. People pay a good 100-200k an hour for a cleave leech spot

Coordination is simple when you reduce it to 2 DD's.

    Two camps come to mind.

    Aby-Mis - Colibri / Birds
    Aby-Mis - Crabs / Frogs (Heqet camp)

Both DD's train their camp, then alternate kills. Have people for keying boxes while you repull.

Yeah this is 1 situation where less is actually faster and better lol

I like vunkrel rabbits and puks. Neither link and only puks aggro and they are very close together. Kinda playing with the idea of dual boxing it or something. As blm I can 1 shot the target mobs and keep up mp for 1 camp... so shouldn't be too hard. Just need keyers

hey thats not a bad idea. thats worth gearing my alt's blm for i think. have my dnc on the rabits, kill one, then 1 shot KO a puk on blm. or both on blm, and just alternate nukes

I don't think there was a consensus. Seemed like everyones numbers kinda differed on everything. That being said the baits I used seemed to all have about the same catches over time and I've used minnow, sinking minnow, carp slices, and trout ball. Granted use the lures alot more but yeah given how easy and cheap it is to get minnows I just use those. I mean a stack of carp slices cost around 4k a stack to make (wait do they stack in 99s or 12s now?) while minnows are like 300 and lately I seem to catch about 1-1.5 per broken line. Given about 7-10 catches per hour I'm pretty sure that is decently cheaper than carp slices

The four baits will get the following biters competing with Abaia:
Sinking Minnow - Giant Catfish, Dark Bass
Minnow - Giant Catfish, Dark Bass
Slice of Carp - Crayfish, Dark Bass, Emperor Fish (avoidable based on position)
Trout Ball - Giant Catfish, Dark Bass, Emperor Fish (avoidable based on position)

Which means Slice of Carp are completely out, as Crayfish bites will reduce your Abaia bites significantly. Trout balls are difficult to get a large stock of, and pricey for the same results as a Sinking/Minnow (especially so since 70% of your bites will be released at 50g a pop). So to my eyes, that leaves Sinking/Minnow as your two real options. Sinkers have slightly stronger lines, but are located on ferries, and are frequently pricejacked/sold out when you get there. Minnows are slightly weaker, plentiful everywhere, and are a solid second best if you can't or don't want to find Sinkers.

Also, I'm not sure if I'm reading these maps right, but Giant Catfish may also be avoidable, improving Trout, Sinking, and regular Minnow equally.

Ah, I was hoping to find a bait route because my mog-tackle box is always full, but it looks like minnows are the way to go. I was noticing a ton of bass bites with carp.

This intrigues me. I've definitely had situations where I got catfish or didn't depending on where I was fishing but it never occurred to me that the fish pool was affected by location. It saddens me that it will likely be a moot point in 1 week.

If I'm reading this right, the Western Shore of Lake M~ is supposedly catfish free, so if you're seeing any where you are, head west more.

As for the woes of lures over bait that stacks to 99, that was my number one motivator to get well acquainted with the Porter Moogle. At least since large fish are usually what you end up targeting with expendable lures, you were already going to need those inventory slots to take your haul home!

The development team looked into routes to adjust this, such as changing the pet’s job, lowering the stats of the pets in exchange for not lowering the Treasure Hunter effect, revamping the pet’s special abilities, etc., but ultimately they made the decision to preserve their fighting capabilities and only reduce their Treasure Hunter effect. To go along with this adjustment, we will be easing up on the materials required to synthesize “Lucky Broth” which created with the basis of the Treasure Hunter effect in mind.
Well I can only assume they'll remove Abaia and replace it with something much easier to obtain. I'm only really assuming that it'll be included in the next update. Maybe it's not ready to be implemented yet but if my gut says it'll be nerfed next update.

TBH, I could see the dev team being misguided enough to have meant the Buffalo Meat part of the Lucky Broth synth.

What does it mean when a server's fish ranking board shows one real name and something like "large fisher 01, large fisher 02, ... , large fisher 15" for 16 slots total? Only one person participated or one person forgot to pick up their ring?

If it means the former, which I'm assuming it does, what happened? Only one guy bothered to turn in 1 level 100 tricorn on one char, yet there's at least ten fuckers competing with me at once on level 81 three-eyed fish, the current ranking item? Almost everyone gets their Ebisu by contacting other Ebisu owners, but no one bothered to contact one for the tricorn contest? x.x

In a contest of size, when wiki lists 115 as the max, what size is usually good enough? The best I got in about 50 were 2 102s.
