I usually go overnight and into the morning, which takes 7-10 hours to burn 50 lures, getting 70-90 haks. Going around the clock, that'd put ya at 140 to 200, depending on how advanced your setup is. Factors include Mega moglification, apron/smock, sinking minnows over regular, rings, downtime for not checking in, random DCs due to GODDAMN WIRELESS ROUTER, and possibly others (it's late). And of course, just how well they're biting for ya - and how strong your lines are that day.

If anything, going for haks is settling for lower gil/hr in return for being able to go for the most hours after setting up. In other pursuits, you get 15 minutes (ferry), 30 minutes (sneak), or 120 minutes (abyssea) - before you have to set back up. Haks I can go for the aforementioned 7-10 hours, and I only bring 50 lures due inventory woes. Though there may be bots that can set you back up, I wouldn't know. Actually I do, I made one for myself. What was my point? It's late.

Probably paranoia here, has anyone else noticed a change to minnows? Last couple nights I have not seen the price higher than 1865ish each, and I'm generally limited to only a handful. This was common across all npcs that sell minnows.

Regular minnows? I've bought some recently. Always use the guild npc in port windy. I don't think I've ever seen them above 400 even when I was using that for Hak's with 3 characters.... and I've recently gotten around 200 in a day for Lik/abaia fishing and didn't reach a limit

What are minnows? Every time I go to restock they are sold out—fuck you everyone on Leviathan. However, not that you mention it I haven't noticed them breaking 1.8k/minnow. I will look closer the next few times I buy up some.

Fuck man, are you the only fisherman on your server lol? As with Haborym they're either sold out or previously at 3k+ per NQ minnow.

35 total characters in beauc right now, looking at the list I'd say around 25-30 are fishing. I also do not have 2 characters out there because of minnow shortage...Additionally, there are hak fishers camping each of the minnow selling guilds lol. Clearly my years of selling lik/gugs is coming back to haunt me lol

I wonder if SE "nerfed" haks by limiting minnows to 10 per day if NPC was previously sold out. To balance this they capped it at 1862 or whatever is in my SS.

Actually I know I'm not given the fact I've sold 200 ebisu fish every day for a week once just from bazaaring while at work and personally know 3 people that have made it from me thru trades. That being said I rarely see sinking minnows at any price other than min unless it was update/maintence or I bought there recently. And usually if I am in beauc I probably have at least half the fishers there. It's to the point where my characters are always asked if I'm doing trials lol. On the other hand someone is clearly doing abaia considering how many are selling one way or another based on lucky broth I'm not making being sold

Also you try the port windy one? It seems to restock/price better. I mean before I used sinking I would litterally send all 3 of my characters there buying 50-60 each gone back after those used same thing and was low again. I've actually never been able to make the one in port windy sell out of minnows. And thats with getting called away to do something right after buying so tossing all for invent space then going back and buying again. In fact I've rarely seen him over 303

If I'm reading this right, the Western Shore of Lake M~ is supposedly catfish free, so if you're seeing any where you are, head west more.

As for the woes of lures over bait that stacks to 99, that was my number one motivator to get well acquainted with the Porter Moogle. At least since large fish are usually what you end up targeting with expendable lures, you were already going to need those inventory slots to take your haul home!

So far this seems right, but a metric shit ton of bass.

you lucky sob lol. Ya, my pattern is Mule1 uses Empire earring and buys there, if necessary waits for boat and buys off boat. Mule2 has HP at Port Windy, so /warp and buys minnows there, if necessary uses Selbina earring and buys off that boat. I got up early this morning hoping to get some minnows before work for fishing tonight, we'll see, of course its 20:00 light day when I woke up...

Whitegate guild: price 1702 was able to buy 10 minnows, I think there was someone else buying as well though. As soon as it opened on dark day at 1:00. Was sold out by about 1:35

port windy guild: price 1863 was able to buy 12 minnows before it sold out. Sold out by 3:25 dark day

selbina>mhaura boat: minnow price 1765 - sold out unable to buy any 10:11 dark day

I said weeks ago there was to many new rods been made and the bait situation was going to go tits up and yet people who fish haks will still go and help someone get a rod.

Just got home from work, 7:36 in-game, sold out at both main guilds looking at 1620ish price wise. wtf...What baffles me is if they are indeed selling out almost immediately every game day why are the prices not up 4-5k per minnow, I know I have seen that in the past.

My server has maybe 10 regular Hakers, 15 if you include people who I recognize but don't expect.
