What kind of impact would another 10 skill actually have on Haks?

Hard to say without having it. That being said I still notice slight differences between my main and my mule and the only difference between them right now is waders and additional fishing furniture past the stall. Difference was even bigger before gp body. Most likely probably just slightly lower break rate.

If I can prove the Epic catch message occurs 20 below skill cap on a fish, that would mean Haks cap @166. This update would make total skill without support 168, or over the cap.

Kinda dumb to ban just because lots of gil in account. Shit I sit above 100mil fairly often on my main... until I go on a currency buying spree lol. Guess I'll divide it between my accounts and mules and such more. But I really wanted a screenshot of max gil

A buddy of mine has capped gil and no issues.

I think its more along the lines of how fast he got it and where he got it from.

Tried out Sliced Bluetail out on Haks.

Casts: 335
Haks: 42 (27 caught)
Other fish/items: 189

100+5 (smock), only Stall and Sign for furniture. Noddy/Puffin. I think I fished for about 3 hours total.

Do RMT even do Haks? I don't mean the players who happen to sell their spare gil. I've never seen what would be considered a traditional RMT at Haks.

I don't give 2 shits about 10 fishing skill, I've been too lazy to even make stall on one of my ebisus and he tends to catch the same amountish as a mule with stall. Additionally, I don't even bring +skill gear on me main just rings + rod + body. The only way I'll bother is for the ffxiah.com achievement points and completions sake. So, how does it work? Do you get an item from GP which then allows you to skill to 110 or does that item literally just give skill+10? I'd actually be sad if it was just +10 skill on an item...

All we know is there is a KI involved. If someone has 100k GP, they could copy their character to the test server to find out. It's pretty dumb they don't give us infinite GP on the test server.

As it stands, unless +10 skill magically breaks some tier of reeling in haks up to 15-20% or so there's no reason to do so outside of achievement whoring.

Would be interesting to see a flood of people after the torque and belt if they both became necessary for Hak success.

Betcha it will effect break rate. And even a couple percent adds up. Though not enough for me to go after torque. Not like I didn't do days in there lvling up my sub jobs but ewww

However the ones on the ferry between whitegate and mhaura are a lot harder not sure about on ps2 but on comp without bots even with ebisus you still need ex bait or 1 of the rings that help. Without ebisu you'd need both. The ones on the other ferries are easier but only during pirates so it's kinda lame.

Yeah at that point I'd just make cruor pts and afk on most of them or something lol. Especially given how minnows are going on alot of servers. Heck even if no one else bought on your server 7 accounts could buy sinking faster than they completely restock

It's a little bit difficult selling leech spots on Odin because RMT do it for dirt cheap. People think they are getting a good deal, but the RMT don't manage more than 50k exp an hour.
