Not sure if SE can detect it as long as you aren't totally dumb about it like killfishing at high hp. Even so I can reel in a decent portion of them without kill fish or extend fight time. But it's not 100%. I'd imagine it is doable with a little more lag or skill or on ps2. Idk I sell lots of gugs to people that never seem to actually fish after they get the rod lol.
Actually I wouldn't be suprised if the people who would watch for that even realize that different gugs are harder. I mean half the GMs I talk to don't really know much at all about this game
Depends on how many people you have buying and time it takes to get them vs how many accounts you have. Most the time I see 100k/hr so even assuming 15 spots sold that's 1.5mil/hr. Which you might have to split.
Assuming an ok cruor pt of 150k cruor/hr that's 396k/hr with 7 accounts would be 2.77mil. Of course there is some npcing time but that should even out with how long it takes to shout for selling leech spots.
Well that's why I said with that many characters. Knew a guy that was doing that. Making billions a month lol
Just seems like it becomes a job at that point, in which I'm sure there are more profitable ways you can spend your time for real money.
Must not be detectable at that point either because I see a lot of people who fish gugs using that function lol. Either that or they don't care. Not sure if SE can detect it as long as you aren't totally dumb about it like killfishing at high hp
Well supposedly he was making decent real money at it. But yeah working it like a real job.
As far as kill fish at high hps they have something in place. I don't know if it gets you GMd but if you kill harder fish way before they should've been wore down your fatigue goes thru the roof. Kinda like if you cross zones too quickly it wont let you zone.
78+5 and 78+6, no Epic Catch messages on Armored Pisces.
Does that destroy your theory? I'd keep in mind I don't always get the epic message, so I'd do quite a few before making any conclusions.
Hooked 25 AP's, I'm going to try at -15 and -10 to see if it happens then or prior. I'm only at 78, so I have room to play with as far as taking skill gear off.
Well 110 from skill cap. 46 from ebisu rod. 2 from neck. 5 from stall. 3 from crafting equip (or synergy gp body instead of crafting one), 2 from waders. Though idk if it's been proven fishing stall adds skill like the other ones do or does something different like it seems to do. Or both
Yeah was counting 110+5stall+3gear+2neck+46ebisu
If I can prove EC messages happen at certain skill level below cap, you could test if the stall adds +5 or not pretty easily.
How did people figure out Ebisu gives 46 skill?
Fish auto dies, stays stagnant, depletes at certain levels above or below cap. Was determined to be 46 through known fishies
With the stall and megamog fishing, what do the other MH items add? I thought they added 1 skill each and a weird bonus, like the big one lets you catch a few extra fish everyday, one reduces line break rate and another extends time to reel in fish? Not sure where I saw this, or which was which for signboard/map, I tried google searching, and BG searching but I couldn't find anything about it.
EDIT::::::::::: Hakuryu stuff~
As an update to an earlier discussion, Sardine Balls work almost as well as minnows for Hakuryus, and depending on your server can be a looootttt cheaper, but you go through tons and tons of them. So for gil made in time spam, I would say they're probably about equal to about 1k minnows, this is assuming you get earth crystals for 1-2k/stack or so, and have a mule fish up the sardines. 1 Sardine fishing mule is enough to catch enough for 2-3 characters to fish Haks all day on sardine balls too, depending on how long you do it. But it really has to be an Alt account, as it will take you a good 6-7 hours to catch all the sardines then craft them. This is based off a lvl 0 fisher with lu shangs and sabiki rig standing in port windurst btw. I was gonna try sliced bluetail also, but even fishing the bluetail, that's going to be vastly more expensive. It would also require 1 character fishing bluetail to cap everyday for 1 character to fish hakuryus all day I believe.
I worked on it with shaddix. Has never been verified though b a diff person doing the same testing which I would love... http://www.bluegartr.com/threads/109...fishing-thread)
Second half of Op
edit: nvm
I've spent over 2.5 hours in jugner with a composite rod and minnow, the recommended setup, trying to catch my giant catfish for the novice fishing trial. Am i doing something wrong? this seems a little obscene for a lvl 30 fish test.
Something seems very wrong, are you at the lake? Also if you are not doing this manually do you have catch unknown checked...
Need to be up at the Lake M.
