hmmm, we may be able to use this to try to verify or disbunk the hidden skill on ebisu. I sort of doubt armored pisces is correctly labeled though, I really don't know if any of the fish that are 100+ are accurately labeled. If so, I am curious what method was previously used to label them. Can play around with the below figures to test:

Fishing skill 13 and above fish cap = Auto-depletion
Fishing skill -24 to 12 = Stagnant
Fishing skill -25 and below fish cap = Auto-regen

Easiest way to verify the epic catch message would be to test on Pterygotus since we know their level is 99. So correct me if I am wrong, but I believe you are saying 89 should NOT give epic catch message, but fisherman at 90 SHOULD give the message

or does the fish have to be 100+ to get the message?

I tried to get messages on Pterygotus and Takitaro and didn't ever see it and I'm pretty sure I should have. Think I did them at 87+6

If you get your 100K GP and rank up to Expert/110+various other pieces+Lu Shangs, go try to catch some Armored Pisces, find out what skill level it takes to make them auto deplete and what skill below that doesn't auto deplete

People who are 75ish fishing, go try to catch some armored pisces, add gear until the bar no longer auto regens.

Is there a windower plugin for Fishing? Something that would help you keep track of how close you are to fatigue cap as you fish?

I haven't seen anything specifically fatigue quantifying; I don't think anyone cares what their actual fatigue value is, that's just how you know when to stop.

Common sense says to check how many fishies are in my bag and compare that to how many it takes to cap fatigue. Is there some way in which that doesn't cut it for ya?

getting my lu shangs the old fashioned way. gallijaux the fisherman is giving me a higher number of carps he has vs what the female elvaan behind him is saying he has. which one is the accurate count?

The guys in the quest like typical fisherman seem to just give out random numbers. I beleive it is a huge game of one upsmanship with the guy next to him which is why the girl in the back is the one keeping the correct count lol

So for shits and grins I went and fished Liks and my mule went 1/55 on Opal Silk. I bought all my Gugs for my Ebisu. I tried the Gugs between Mhaura and Selbina and still (barely) needed Albatross. I plan to check out the ship from Mhaura to Al Zahbi this weekend. Would Noddy or Puffin be a better second ring?

Hard to say since those fish are alot harder. Like all I need is ebisus to get selb/mhaura ones reeled in. While the al zhabi with full skill gear mogenhancments and support I'd only reel in about 1/3. So I'd say see how well 1 ring works for you if needed add another if not use noddy or puffin

I was never able to reel in a single fish on this ferry. All mine came off Selbina <> Mhaura boat.

Did I just get really unlucky fishing Gugs on the boat then? In like 4 hours I got pirates twice and only got 3 gug bites - and only caught 2 lol That sounds really lame for them only being 25k on my server. Do people just bot the shit out of them?
