I recently did the istirdye (Shall shells) in Nashmau using a robber rig. The bit rate was absolutely stunning. They were exactly like shall shells. 90% of the ones you pull up will be them. 5% will be the losters and another 5% on rusty items. I managed to get an entire lvl within 45min. of fishing there. That may have been luck based, but them biting as much as they did was shocking at the most. I used a Hal. rod and robber rig.

So I've been pretty much living in Nashmau catching Istiridye. Where would you guys suggest heading at 53 when I cap these (probably tomorrow)? I'm thinking I might just stay put and work on the Bastore Bream equivalent. SSG isn't going to happen since I'm on a new account and fishing is funding my gear/levelling.

Boat is also sexy as hell at these levels, i'm 51.9 and pulling in 1-2 titans a full fishing trip.. which, for me, isn't bad =D

Speaking of boats, I was thinking of leveling up some with a Sabiki Rig on the Whitegate -> Nashmau ferry, pulling up their cone calamary equivalent (Kalamar). Since multiple-catches = multiple skillup chances, it looked good.

Merc cap at 86. You might be a bit low to catch them at a decent rate, unless your botting. Lol. After the Istridyer, might wanna tyr noble ladies till 66. Or Blueladies till 55 (and a chance @ squid). Or SSG with a Minnow for Bluetails / Bream / Grim.

Now that fish ranking is over I can go back to a couple levels in Nashmau and then be in the same predicament of where to go next. The ranking fish was marlins and I wanted skill ups at the same time so I fished for my own bait; didn't get crap for skill up once I capped calamary. Is the skill rate for noble and blue better off the boats?

I went to nashmau to try out Istiridye and caught 4 stacks in about an hour, plus got from 47.5 to 48.7! I'm definitely fishing there until at least 53. I also caught one bastore bream and one gold lobster (well the equivalent..) using robber rig. Is there a different rig that targets only the other 2 fish?

Just out of curiosity, regarding Coral Fragments, has anyone tested the bite rate after you've reached hard cap with the apron and the moghancement that increases item bite rates (fishing I think)? I haven't seen any experiences under these circumstances either here or on Titanictus.

By the way, it seems like they messed with what you can catch in Nashmau now. I had been there for a few weeks on and off catching only Istiridye with Lu+Rogues now I'm getting Istakoz and Pterygotus mixed in, not alot of them but still just a few. Anyone see any other changes since this update?

I sort of thought SE reduced the amount of bites in Nashmau. My bite rate has been about 15% regardless of moon cycle for like the last two updates. I just figured SE was trying to get the bot fishers to move on.

For what it's worth, I noticed a lower bite-rate for Pterygotus and Mercanbaligi in Nashmau (and higher rate for Istakoz :/), since the latest patch.

That's just a gut feeling but I used to have 2-3 stacks of Istakoz by the time I filled my inventory with non-stackable fish, and now usually I have 6-7 stacks of these while my inventory is far from being full.

Edit: That's with Sinking Minnow though.

I remember a while back in an update SE mentioned that the stats on Ebisu rod were to be updated... but no conclusive boosts were found. However just recently I've spent quite some time fishing for Devil Mantas in Kuftal Tunnel. I've fished here before and caught a few but with Ebisu I've found the rate to be massively better.

Now I've not been here long enough to provide any kind of data or any proof of course. But I just wondered if anyone else had noticed this on any other mobs or fish. Or have I just got massively lucky with catching Mantas? For example me and a TH4 THF went there on Sunday and we caught 7 Mantas in about 2.5 hours, with me catching six of them. And today I'm the only person in our duo catching Mantas also. Only time someone else caught one is when I don't fish.

Like I say... far too small a sample to conclude anything. But the rate of improvement is massive even given this small sample.
