Expand your chat log and talk to a field manual, the same shading pattern appears. That aside, the screenshot looks nothing like a fishing sting to me.

First of all, Vunkerl Inlet = how long ago now?

Why was the Mithra's heading flipped? You cannot move while focus is forced on such a window, and the point of this sting approach is to bypass all alarms - you cannot fish, heading change notifiers, position change notifiers, whatever. Adding the variable of a character position alteration to the already super stealth SGM box just doesn't add up.

What's up with the chat log context, and content of the prompt box? Seems staged, or if not staged, far from organic.

Complete lack of GM schtick? Sorry, those bastards will hail you as Lady Mithrakat the Windurstian Mageknight to the day the servers shut. I don't buy that they would drop all pretense, and then proceed to go as far as just being lazy about the whole thing.

Proof of concept? Perhaps. Reverse engineering of the proposed concept and staged on a private server? Also perhaps. This screenshot is far from conclusive or credible. The Mithra isn't even wearing an Apron.

I can't vouch for that picture because it's not mine; however, I already knew the screenshot was staged. From my understanding, they were contacted by a GM and weren't afk for the first box, so they made a request to see it again. It doesn't sound too far fetched to me. I've had GMs do things such as turn off their invisibility.

Also, the whole transparency thing isn't an indicator of being fake. You can check yourself on any NPC that has the same textbox.

I have had the box given to me but it was years ago fishing the angel skins, I can confirm they do use it as a tool

P.S.
If you are pulling up haks, gugru, or liks quickly, you are doing it wrong!
If you are fishing/catching haks with your Lu Shangs, you are doing it wrong!
If you catch liks or gugrus and do not have an albatross ring equipped, you are doing it wrong!

I will call 100% that you can catch liks without using albatross legit. Just did it without the "you don't know how much longer" phrase come up. Gug's on the other hand, you can't without a ring.

You can do this with crocs too - but its really hit and miss.

Can anyone confirm Hakuryu Fish skill rate, as i am currently 101 and have caught 54 Hakuryu this morning with no skill ups? I was hoping to fish Hakuryu and gain skill ups.. but doesn't look like it

I think most people are forgetting that when you get up around 90 the skills drop horribly. I think I ended up getting to 101 after about 150+ haks, so yes, you should be able to skill up on them as they are supposed to be level 120 or higher.

Edit: Forgot to mention I was using double pelican rings for those skill ups.

A couple days ago I got a Hak skill up at 103 after 134 successful reel ins so assume another 60 breaks lol. Haks are pretty damn high afaik, are they stagnant, regen, or auto depleting?

yea just got a +0.2 skill after 78 Hak, so im now 101.2.... going to be a long time before i hit 110

Lol no skillup after only 50 catches... but yeah it's definitely over 103. I seem to be getting around .3-.4 per 50 sinking minnow run.

Yup, the beauty is who really gives a shit when a.) You're making a buttload of gil doing it, b.) you're not actually doing anything differently than you were before, c.) 110 skill really wont make a noticeable difference from 100

Anyone else get spoken to by a GM today? My mule got contacted by a GM, but my main didn't which I find odd. It was just through a standard tell. If they do indeed use the prompt box, I don't know why they use it and sometimes they do not.
