Yeah I had a similar problem when I started doing Hak's and crocs ironically I pull up easier now when I tribox then when single boxing

Recently started fishing for materials for post 100 Bonecraft, and I have no problems pulling up gavials to desynth, will I be ok to fish up titanticus with a really low skill (11) or should I convince a friend with 100 fishing to pull some up for me? I'm using a Lu'Shangs, so I don't think I'd break it on titanticus, just want to be sure I wouldn't constantly get lost catches due to lack of skill
You should probably skill up. But then again maybe you can pull them up not sure really
I don't think I've parsed over a 50% catch rate in 2 weeks now, actually. This is with all chars being from 101-110 lol.
Shit gets really annoying (even though it's free money) when you spend 100k on lures and catch 50 fish.
Be 50% catch rate you basically mean of the ones you reel in half break other half you catch?
Yea, that's about 15-20% lower than @100 prior to update. I figured it was just bad fishing luck at first, now it's just a really bad joke on me I guess.
It's really bad luck. I haven't really paid much attention to it but I know it's been higher for me. My fishing for this afternoon (small sample size yada yada).
lvl 110: 41 catches 14 breaks
lvl 100: 33 catches 19 breaks
Bah I caught around 250 haks yesterday between two characters I could have posted stats. I think it's around 66% success rate though. One char is 110, the other is 103 although they fish the same amount and have the same gear/MH furniture lol...So far today I'm 10 caught, 6 breaks, huge sample size, I know.
Thanks for the reply about reeling in haks. I watched several players and sent tells to 3 of them where they stopped fishing and no reply so as mentioned using some third party tool to reel in fish. All 3 had noody and puffin rings on.
Using a penguin ring I can reel in some of them, but going to lag my pc some to make it easier.
There was mention of abyssea fish earlier in forum on page 258 sekiryu. Is this fish difficulty the same? I have over 500 stones so dont mind using them if productive.
Thanks
Really wish i started on GP earlier t.t!

this may sound very retarded so which items am i supposed to get for my MH for the fishing skill enhancements, im very confused about the situation
All you really need is stall. But if you have too much other element stuff it could overwrite it
I did stall + the big one (AH purchase or fish your own sawfish) on my mules, gets you what you really need skill wise and the the big one helps the elemental strength.
I imagine these are a decent option if you are manually fishing. I tried them before, you obviously need to keep sneak up and maybe if you are lucky you can leech some minutes off the cleave pts that are constantly there... If there was a non-sneak spot for these I'd consider them as an alt to Haks at times.
iirc all prehistorics besides haks are in abyssea but 2 I think had a bad rate and yeah one is sneak fishing![]()
Haks seem to be the only ones that are in two zones as well. You can catch Haks in Beaucedine Glacier [S] too. It'd be pretty cool if the other ones were in their non-Abyssea equivalents, but that doesn't seem to be the case.
I had actually been doing above average while skill was still rising, and have had mostly subpar runs at 110.
