AFAIK almost every fish can be caught with a robber/rogue rig

What zone?
I'm assuming abyssea since I've never been able to hook anything but Hakuryus outside of it, but maybe I just didn't try hard enough or messed up?

I'd say Abyssea - Vunkerl since trumpet shells only exist in Vunkerl / Abyssea - Vunkerl.

A fishing friend and I remembered that when we were spamming MMM fishing mazes for the rings back in the day, people who were uncapped that ran mazes for us would often get a skill up when they opened the crate.

Getting a fast 0.1 or 0.2 for 10 minutes of maze work seemed like a good idea, so we ran some last night. Alas no skill for us.

Now our sample set is very small, but it's possible you can't get skill over 100 there. We'll try for a few more days to see if things are different, but if anyone else has seen skill out of it after 100 we'd love to hear.

Honestly doesnt sound worth the hassle, even if it did work. Skill, especially at that level, means nothing.

I doubt it, three eyed fish is the biggest fish you can catch from there i think, and i dont think its over 100

Ah but the skill up came out of the chests, not off the fish. So I'm unsure if it's level sensitive.

Our opinion is that when you may need to catch 40-80 fish to see a skill up a fast 10 minute run for one is a decent deal. And social and fun too.

His point was the skill is near meaningless at 100+, so to focus your potential profit time on a skill-only endeavor it is counter productive and wasteful assuming your end in mind for fishing is profit. if you are looking for skill ups only, I'd grab crayfish balls, goto aby-la thiene and yank up pelaz...just /drop them as you pile them in.

Has anyone tried fishing titans since the update that added Tiger Sharks? I tried very briefly and it seemed like Tiger Sharks were biting all my meatballs . Wondering if folks are still able to get a decent number of titans or you are trying a diff bait/method.

I think titans will bite rotten meat pretty well and it doesnt fish up much else... not as convenient as meatballs though, sliced cod works too.

You sure it was tiger sharks and not titanicus? Sharks aren't listed as possible with meatball(though that doesn't mean anything really), and i've never seen one. It's always the G.D. titanicus eating all my meatballs. I spent 3-4 days doing titans and was averaging like 2-5 per ferry.

Yeah I fished them up just fine... I could swear old sharks bit but I still catch legends fine on boats with meatballs

Yea, i estimated 106, skilled on them with 2x pelican rings steadily to 106, after 106 caught about 50? with no skill. by no means concrete but i decided to move on.

I really don't think you can beat the bite rate of istirdye (sp, it's been awhile) until 53. At that point you can probably dil it up all you want.

Rotten meat sucked, 3 rides 0 ryugu bites. Switched back to meatballs and all was good other than the 20 stacks of rotten meat I had bought. I must have been thinking titanictus were the new fish when in reality it was just a ton of titanictus
