Would be interested in seeing if there's any difference in the number of line breaks with sinking and regular minnows. I haven't noticed any difference so far. Or is the only difference between sinking and regular minnows that sinking has a smaller pool of fish? (pardon the pun)

Iirc the only difference is 1 fish switches for another. But since you are swapping a large for a small and you are set up to get more larges it works out better

On a side not god people are starting to buy up sinking minnows. And some of them buy really fast somehow. Like I only got 13 when it was at near min price just now. And what really makes me mad is they are in full pt gear. Don't even have rod on /rage

Competition on Odin is still ridiculous. I actually just went to Windy to buy some minnows and they are all sold out. I'll have to take a pic next time I log my selbina mule on, there's generally about 4-6 bazaar mules at Zaldon. I do of course blame myself for much of this though, so it is what it is.

Geez I just recently started seeing a zaldon mule... and he had fish at like 40k each @.@

Really just annoyed that it's a guy who is in full pt gear doing it... not even making room to fish. And that he somehow bought them significantly faster than me while we were going at the same npc

This blows me away. I have trouble finding sinkers, but most nights i can find a npc at the base 691 price if i check all the vendors. minnows are always at bare minimum.

Strange too, because there's a whole lineup of fishers at the coastline. makes me leary about fishing lately. I can see a banwave or nerf coming along.

Actually that is another confusing thing I find about seeing them bought out sometimes lately. I still very rarely see anyone else out there.

Also I can't see them banwaving but I can see more frequent checks of all fishers in zone without anyone calling

I was the very first fisher up the glacier on quetz so i obviosuly don't want to see the fish get nerfed but i really think its only a matter of time, the guilds are almost always out of stock and a few weeks ago i had to make several mules and camp each boat and buy out the bait on the hour to lock everyout out of getting bait it has become that bad, of course this gets very boring so i only did it for two months was funny though to see all the other fishers crying in say every boat ride.

Sinking break a lot more often than NQ at lower fishing skill levels. At higher skill levels it's not really noticeable, but it does appear to be ever so slightly higher, maybe its just me though, every time I ever bothered to check sinking broke more often.

Tbh, I had actually been noticing more breaks with sinkers. I'm only 112 skill + whatever from ebisu though, so not capped. Did get a anglers discernment notice on a Lv100 fish the other day tho, idr which one it was.

Interesting note I think I found another person who thinks it's impossible to fish up Hak's with puffin/noddy. At least I assume that's why since after getting there and fishing for less than 5 min he calls me a botter scum and warps out. I find it more amusing since he was there when my other mule was fishing the night before and I assume he didn't leave...

you're just going at the wrong time

it's funny to see ppl crying so hard about minnows, on asura minnows being bought out every game day is regular practice, not shocking but commonplace

Hey guys, I'd like some advice on making Ebisu. I got my KI last week and I tried fishing Liks and Gugs with terrible luck, 1 catch for both after multiple line breaks, and my Lu snapped :/ (ok I guess it's pretty normal). I've been buying Gugs since then and I'm curruntly 0/142 on trades... I'm asking for some advice since I'm broke atm after spending millions. Should I try fishing them up ( 96 + 9 skil atm, capped on black sole, was waiting for Ebisu to skillup on harder fish), or make gil some other way and keep on buying?
I usually fish Soles for about 100k a day, which is not much but I think it's the most I can make atm.
