Seems unlikely they'd put a BST jug's synth material inside the rarest of all fishes. Not to mention the successful gut rate is already 0/24 and counting.

This is what I'm guessing, in which case I didn't need to turn the fish in myself; I don't really plan on skilling up any other crafts. I'll probably start donating the fish to my brother's character until we find out for sure what Matsya has inside his belly.

If it's something useful market is going to be funny. Since only ebisus can really fish this and given how long it takes to get bait they would have to sell for over 100k each to beat hak's lol. And that's assuming you get enough bait and turn in everything each day vs just capping hak's each day. And of course people going to all that effort (plus having to get all that meatballs) gunna raise prices.

I'm sending a mule to start pulling up cave cheraxs, RL job keeps me busy during the week, but if we're not sure what the new item is by the weekend I can hit it pretty hard. Makes ironic sense though that the "slowest craft to skill up" would give a cape that increases skill up rate lol.

I'll do the same I have made more then I need in gil for some time this week.

I'll see if I can help out a little bit, how do they fight?and how much bait for say 20-30 on average?

Have 3 P-rings to sell that I refuse to put on the AH price is to random...

Out of the 40 leftover ex bait I had, I caught 4 out of the 15 Matsya bites; the rest (11) were line snaps. I wasn't using fishing support.

My previous session from years ago was 117 ex bait, 21 catches, and 35 line snaps. This was during full moon with support, but I was using albatross/penguin ring combo.

Not sure how to describe how they fight, only to say that they are simple to drain with the new FPS limit update. You can use the - monster/+ big fish rings.

I'd say fish up enough Cave Cherax to get a stack of Dwarf Pugil (around 400 cherax; you'll need to make multiple trips to Zaldon). Using my numbers, that should net around 10 or 20 I'm guessing (take into consideration that I was only 100 fishing for those tests, with variations of moonphase/weather/support/etc.).
