Minnows work fine on CC's. I skilled from 108 to 110 on them using minnows. Catch rate is good, you lose one on occasion, but not often.
Clearly you were since you were quoting me saying full tp/town gear....
Actually this reminds me I should be keep seperate parsings for my 2 mules fishing and that I should compile the parses I've done of all 3 ebisu characters to see if small amounts of skill do matter...
Another 114 bait used not couting what went to monsters and 18 caught. (don't have complete breakdown cause stuff was going weird at first.) Turned 17 in and nothing (keeping 1 to try and sell). Also not really moving on ah anymore and other people are putting them up too!
So another 0/17 for the tally.
Hakryu parses
All right to preface this all of this was fishing using sinking minnow (my minnow sample size is too small to share as I only get them when sinkers are high which almost never here lol), and as you'll see from the sample size not all my characters were all fishing at the same time. But my mules were almost always there together and if my main was there both my mules were. Hope that doesn't really throw things off too much. Also sorry I don't know how to do tables and shit on here.
Character 1:
Ebisu, puffin ring, noddy ring, fishermans smock, crafted fishing gear, megamoglification and 100 skill
Casts: 28207
Catch: 2263
Breaks: 1255
hakryu bites/casts: 12.47%
hakryu catch/casts: 8.02%
break/bite: 35.67%
Character 2:
Everything character 1 had but with 110 skill
Casts: 26202
Catch: 2460
Breaks: 1240
hakryu bites/casts: 14.12%
hakryu catch/casts: 9.39%
break/bite: 33.51%
Character 3:
Same as character 2 except: Waders instead of crafted boots, and in addition to the stall a signboard and the big one.
Casts: 17665
Catch: 1803
Breaks: 731
hakryu bites/casts: 14.34%
hakryu catch/casts: 10.21%
break/bite: 28.85%
I don't know enough about statistics to know if those are big enough differences or if I need a bigger sample size but it does appear that 100-110 skill does provide a decent boost in bite rate and decrease in break rate. And that either the small skillboost from waders or the extra furniture helps with break rate. If someone with more statistics knowledge then me could help better interpet the data that would be swell thanks.
if you dont have the space do not use the gear, I have a ton of room im a lvl 75 whm who fishes mostly more then anything else. It is worth it for me. no one is saying you need it, as you do not really. However I bet that someone with +12 in fishing gear will get less line snaps and skill lose then someone else over time. +12 is not a joke in any other form of the game, why would it only be different for fishing?
To play the pointless devil's advocate adv synthesis support is +3 in every other aspect of the game, why would it only be different for fishing? Who knows, but it is, +2.
Another few hours farming titans, still no sword. Think the game is making up for the ease of which i got both my ebisus. I fucking hate Zaldon. I really do.
I can't get mats to sell at 1mil
Yea I kinda figured, one person on Asura selling for 500k. everyone else is 1mil+ up to 10mil... I'm going to stick it out for a couple more days then drop the price before it tanks.
tbh I don't think I'd even bother at 500k unless I just have a whole bunch extra. I'm looking at if I farm bait for 2 days then use it up one day at about 14-16 per character. Which at 500k would only come out to 2.3-2.6mil a day. And that's only because I bring another character out there to deal with the monsters
I had 73 bait and still have 25 left over. Iv only landed 5 thus far... LOL 2 days of fishing ~_~ even at 1mil each they are coming close to what I can make otherwise.
Waiting for a new day to use the last 25 in hopes I can get 2~5 more
by the way
its 20 hooked
15 line breaks
5 landed lol
10monsters(ya 10 lost bait blows)
0/8 Total now.
Im going to try them at 600k@ zaldon, 1mil on AH
I am aiming to push 2mil per fish. going to see if I can get the other sellers to do the same.
I don't think there are any crafts where 2mil/fish with a 1~2% drop rate on a cape that gives an unknown, but likely small bonus is economically sensible.
My final total was 0/50 on 300k fish. Now the price has risen to 500k and I'm getting out of the market.
We're at 3/221 total so far.
people are actually buying at 500k? maybe i should get in on this...
AH sales on my server are 1mil/fish pushing it higher might work. Will find out.
