Think it will be kinda how big the boost is and how it is applied. Like a pure 5% boost to my cooking would've saved me 20 mil from 100-110 because rate so low. Going from 1/4 to 1/3 would've saved me around 10 mil taking gold from 99-104. And would save hundreds of millions taking it to 110. But we have no idea what it is or turn in rate so hard to get people to pay...

On the other hand it's barely economically viable to sell for 500k and for some that number would be higher as all matsya fishers could make almost as much or more in the same time with alot less work.

Personally not to be an asshole but I kinda hope that buyers wont be willing to buy it at a price that makes it worthwhile for fishers and this sorta be a item for those willing to get it themselves lol

ya that be nice, but if it was a 5% jump that be a much higher price then 20mil.

Not only does it save money but it speeds your rate up as well. you get to the cap and make money faster lol

I sorta feel a HQ+ item coming from this quest at some point. Watch it be rare/ex as well.

then again an item like that could break the game lol.

If they made it sellable I'd raise the price so much. I mean after all it's something you only need while skilling up crafting. You could buy a single one to pass around for the ls to use. Or at the very least someone with a few crafting mules can use 1 for them all. I'd be 100+ milling that shit. Shawl for relic bitches!

Either way just saw the dev note saying they intended it to be hard to get like this and aren't planning on changing it

Depending how we fishers handle this it could be seen as a bone to us. E-rod+mooching+rare/ex bait are a must; it really is not something even all E-rod holders will go after. if it stays at 1mil is it worth our time to run around and get the bait then fish for a big ass fish that breaks lines 50~80% of the time?

I made 9mil today off the fish if I can get 1mil+ from todays fishing. That was 2 days of CC fishing + a few hours more fishing Matsya's

Ok so i made about 2~3mil more then I could of made just sitting in one place. Worth it? that depends on the person.

edit: Oh ya and the 140k I made off trading in CC ~_~ so 9.14 mil! sweet lol

Well I wouldn't say mooching is a must. It helps no doubt about it and maybe before they capped frame rate you couldn't do it with killfish on faster computers but it doesn't fight much harder than jelly fish now. Just have to pull it in much faster.

But yeah 1mil sure I'll do it for profit. I mean for me that's coming out to at least double what I was making on Hakryu so that's worth the extra effort in my book. 500k no thanks barely better for me and you would've actually made less than Hakryus while going thru annoying zaldon messages @.@

Man, just got back into fishing after a 3 year hiatus. Lost my original account with 100 fishing and 0/120 on Ebisu items the day the banhammer came down. Seems CC and going after Shaper's Shawl is some quality gil. Still dont get why people want this cape that badly. And dear god, fishing on Odin is brutal. So many people doing it, few years back not many NA's did it. Lol.

That was only to 104 GS, as I recall. Though that was dasva. I'm only at 100 and some change, b/c I refuse to pay that much to skillup. (not to mention none of my friends/ls mates want the hexed gear)

Yes it was probalby me and yest it was only 99-104. That's when the per recipe price went from like 250k (though think it's only 150-200k now) to like 2.5mil and after that 1-3 Ormolu ingots for 2 mil each (assuming you can find any like 20 sold since they came out) and such fun things to gather like freya's tear and plastron. Even with my deep pockets I got discourage. My cooking was 60mil from 100-110. So yeah as long as the increase in skillup rate is noticable and you haven't capped yet and plan on doing so or they raise the cap this could be quite a money saver.

A large part of this is I think most crafts only have hexed stuff after 105. Most the nqs don't sell and if they do it's for a huge loss. I think byrth broke down all the hexed gear he's made to get to 110 and how just the hexed stage for whichever craft he was doing was like 74 mil in completed NQs. So not counting breaks or the few HQs he got. Of course he was lucky enough to be able to get T1 for a lvl while skilling up on some recipes. Not everyone has farmed the stuff to do that and not all crafts can do it. That makes Hexed Haubert pretty fun lol. Hopefully it will get better after prizes get out so we can find out what the augment is. Since right now a 6mil synth that is t0 and sucks will never get made lol since no one would pay enough for the rare hq to make it worth it

So in case you are wondering why crafters are selling HQs for so much that's why. And why crafters are so excited by the potential of this cape. Though many are doubtful it will be too much as this is SE we are talking about

our only question then is if the number of craftsman aiming for 100+ is going to increase. Ill nab one myself after the rush to get it slows down. I have wood(Never use it lol) that I have always wished to cap. Have the gil, just to lazy to lvl it.

The idea of finding mats just sucked. Its at like 78 and I had somewhere around 20mil saved to up to push it to 100 back in the day just items became hard to find and I lost the drive to go for it.

As more recipes are inevitably introduced I cannot imagine a decline in the number of craftsman who are interested in 100+. The number who may pay 1m per matsya though is a whole different story.

If the price goes under 1mil we wont see this cape on many. As of now people think its great gil, but really once they notice that they are making less on a bad day the price will jump back or we just wont see them selling.
