Well this was kinda a rough run.

337 bait between 2 fishers took a little under 7 hours to use. 5 went to monsters, 125 went to line snaps, 170 went to jellyfish and 37 went to caught fish. Normal jellyfish to matsya but god that 77% break rate killed me. Maybe it's the new moon? Idk.

Side note between the 2 characters I reeled in 5 monsters, 42 fish (accidentally reeled in 5 jellies), and 543 items @.@. None of my characters were fully fatigued though so gunna try some CCs later lol


Also 14 trades in got shawl!!! So another 1/14 for the running total if anyones still keeping it. And looking thru my old posts that puts me at 1/54

How exactly are you only getting 5 monsters in that much bait? I usually hold them on my main char, but I had to leave early for Odin v2 and when I came back, I caught 5 monsters in the 40 bait I had left since I was too lazy to refish and hold them. I'm assuming you only caught 5 because you were holding on one char as you fished the 5 up? I usually just use a minnow to fish them up to not waste any bait.

I hold them on my main while fishing on my mules. I tried doing minnow but it takes so long to fish them all up it just doesn't seem worth it. I've litterally had not got the last one up and out till 1.5 hours in fishing with 2 mules. So I figure losing 5 bait which is only like 10-15 minutes of fishing/trading in a stack of a couple hundred is more time efficient

Am i the only one who fishes cherax in kuftal? im usually the only one down here, granted tonight there was a classic aggro and the guy kept on fishin, then he dies.

Possibly, there's no agro in fountain of kings, maybe that's why?

iv never got agro anytime down in kuftal.

Also no your not the only one lol I had a pic a few days back of me by myself and it lead to us finding out odin is by far the worst place to be as a fisher lol

Its just that one odd scorpion that happens to pop up everyonce in awhile, you can avoid it more by standing to the sides, or just kill it

I spent most the day alone in Kings foutain today then all of a sudden 8 people showed up in less than an hour. 4 hours later only 3 remain. Never seen anyone at the closest bridge fishing in vunk so I think not alot really going for this. In fact I'm almost thinking that most the people fishing here are doing it for the ranking contest

i've been fishing vunk almost everyday. after matsya i go straight to cherax and fish to fatigue. I usually end up with 40+ pugils to use after fatigue resets. 0/45 so far.

how much do items count for towards fatigue? i know it's not 1 item = 1 fish. forgot to mark my total items caught, but after matsya 1 day, i caught 178 cherax. caught at least 50 items, maybe more when fishing matsya

LSMate who really had no interest in the cape (93ish craft), but had about 300 dwarf pugils in his storage so he decided to use them, went 1/1, good for him atleast.

I also went 1/2 on plumb boots. Me and Zaldon are good friends. Last night was terrible for matsyas though took almost 30 minutes and 40 pugils till I had a !!! Bite. Snapped around 10 lines before I had to leave with 4 fish. But I have at least 4 more characters to get the shawl for so I'm sure Zaldons kindness will turn out to bite me in the ass.

Someone said around 1/2 which I'm inclined to beleive it's about right. There other day between 2 characters on my matysa run I reeled in 5 monsters, 42 fish (accidentally reeled in 5 jellies), and 543 items and wasn't fatigued so went over to get some CC and got abour 80-90 up before fatigueing. I wasn't really testing for that so not having percise CC amounts and combining them like that will throw me off but it does appear to be around 1/2.

Someone tell me the secret of Zaldon!

No no, that ruins the fun. Be creative and develop your own superstitions, then get back to us on what finally "works." I can't say that anything I did was effective since I had such a crappy record, but by the end of trading fish for my ebisu I:

-Would wear full fishing gear and advanced support
-Occasionally I would switch this up by wearing TH gear, or removing my boots so as to not piss Zaldon off by tracking sand/mud into the room
-Would remove any headwear before trading Zaldon (because it'd be rude otherwise; indoors, talking with someone, while wearing sunglasses?)
-Bow before entering Zaldon's room, and bow after finishing my trades
-/tell Ascii (a Carbuncle mule that has been in Selbina since time began) "I love you~." I never got a response, and he hasn't accepted my friend invite.

Not that I believed any of this would really make a difference, but it was something fun to keep me (relatively) sane throughout the process.
