Kinda missed it. Can you dbox the cape to your mules?
Kinda missed it. Can you dbox the cape to your mules?
Snap, gonna need 2 capes then for my bone and leather mules.
@Renzy - Congrats!
I don't know about you all, but I am trying to take advantage of the marker while the demand is high. I am offing these fish for 600k-1mil (one sold at each price) I can always catch the fish later and get the cape whenever I want.
im starting to feel even at 1mil a pop its not worth my time >.> shits just to much a pain in the ass and gil is to easy to make lol. I made 4mil last night fishing, hardly seems that 3 days to fish up 9~12mil if I can find a buyer is worth my time.
Think I might just get the cape myself and move on. or if the price goes up a little more.
600k? HELL NO lol
The difference is I am also working on alchemy from 100-110 (at 106.6) so all of my alchemy synths are 800k E squama, 40k sap, 30kish velvet item = 900kish. To synth these skill up items without cape potentially loses me 900k per synth not to mention E squamas are hard to come by. I sold some fish for 1m each, then realized my priority is alchemy, more gil is not going to help me reach this goal considering the mats/skill ups are what is holding me back, NOT gil.
As Dejet said, folks started selling them for 600-800k each as well, that's a bit meh for me. 1m or bust
Yeah no ones buying on ah now despite the results on how awesome the cape is. I even shouted and got a tell but when I said 1 mil the guy was like lol no thanks. I guess most the crafters out there really haven't mathed out just how rediculously expensive skilling up is and how much money this will save them. Oh well they can lose out on saving hundreds of millions of gil not to mention waiting on materials to become available while the fishers get cape.
And to all those undercutting fishers stop it. Take 5 seconds to do the math and realize that you are only hurting your own profits both long and short term. You can make more money faster and easier doing Hak's if you keep that shit up
yea someone is bazaaring them now for 500k on asura. -.-
Guy on sylph had a mule next to the quest npc this morning with 20 matsyas @ 250k each. I decided to go for it and bought him out. Shortly after he logs off, comes back and has 10 more @250k. Decided to pass this time, but now he has 40 in his bazaar @300k each. He must be a god fisher after reading everyone's post and seeing how hard it is to get these.
Jello, I'd buy those in a second at that price. Whether to use myself or re-sell....
wtf 250k? holy hell, why are people this stupid? and yes at that price id buy him out over and over and over.
I mean really think about it thats 10 in a single day if you npced fish.... that is batshit crazy. that is like finding someone selling o-bronze at 1.5mil/100 lol
No he is just dumb very very very dumb. I really hate people like this. This is the reason people stick to npcing fish. Because clowns like him destroy even the idea of profit on other stuff. I mean sure that's almost 20 mil for 70 fish.... but to catch that many would take a good 11-14 or so days of fishing for bait and another 3-5 fishing up matsya. So looking at 14-19 days of fishing in which time for alot less work and waiting and such you could've have made up to double what you did on Matsya
And it's not like he even has the excuse of trying to get rid of extras as no way someone would fish that many days worth before turning them in
So I think I found part of the reason prices are becoming crap. Based on the shawl thread on the ffxiah apparently no one there has ever lvld one of the more expensive crafts to even 90 let alone 100 and no one has ever lvld or even looked into lvling anything past 100. I saw this because browsing the thread I see a repeated theme of that this cape could never save you more than 30 mil even with 100% skillup rate and lvling all crafts to cap. Which leads people to say things like 300k is too much qq. Even though that is a serious loss for the fisher.
Need someone over there to explain how some crafts cost billions with a B to lvl to 110. Or how even something "cheap" like cooking can cost 60mil to get the last 10 lvls.
Im still holiding ontto mine still unable to sell.
Yeah I refuse to sell it at a loss. I'd rather just hold onto it forever. Or give it to a lvl 5 mule with no crafting at all lol
I feel that both sides are shooting themselves in the foot here.
fishers are making less with their time.
craftsman are losing out on mega savings.
Yeah just find it frustrating that people on both sides aren't just running some simple numbers. Anyone looking to craft past 100 can easily calculate just how huge an investment that is and how that we now know the improvement is rather large can see how it could easily save them huge amounts of money but instead just quibble about a few mil here and there (though I'd expect some are being purposefully deceptive knowing full well how much money they'd save but trying to drive the price down anyways but seeing as that should drive away all supply good luck)
And fisherman for not doing the even easier math of Hak fishing. Seriously if basically average 3-5 fish a day 300k just aint cutting it
