As far as Haks, you guys have to sense that a nerf is coming at some point. Haks and Blinkers are both going to die in some patch and SE will act like they never knew about them. The only question is whether they'll accompany it with bans.

They've nerfed tons of shit people NPCed, bans only happened for the case of buying from an NPC and reselling at a higher price. I wouldn't be shocked if blinkers get nerfed, but then again everything about abyssea should have been nerfed, and it didn't happen. There's no way haks will get nerfed, they are terrible gil and not worth doing anyways unless you're botting, and they require the time and expense of getting an ebisu first.

On the thread of "too small" fishing - I was too high on my mule for Crescent Fish, so I tried out Tavnazian Goby with a Mithran Rod. You are able to skill off "too small" messages. I spent 6 or 7 hours fishing and reeled in 298 catches and actually caught 113. I may have miscounted on the total catches, but if I didn't (or I'm not off by much) it doesn't look like the "too smalls" count as 1/2 a fish.

anyone else notice a sharp spike in lu shangs the past month? on Shiva it's gone from 4m-7m and still climbing. People are shouting for one all the time in PJ. I'm guessing the shawl is raising prices?

Not quite as sharp a spike as on Odin, 5.5->6m, but I'm assuming people have finally caught on to how easy it is to make gil with fishing. People tend to be quite slow on the uptake with these things...

Makes sense. Did a bit of snooping and there are a TON of new fishermen leveling all of a sudden. Minnow/sinkers are becoming harder and harder to find. Within a month I won't even be able to fish haks at this rate.

One of my fishers is on Shiva, and it is ridiculously easy to get minnows compared to Odin. Consider yourself lucky etc..

Odd. Every time I buy minnows they're at minimum price, from either guild.
Though, I buy them late night/early morning EST.

You also have to remember that fishing is mostly effective when you have multiple characters and said characters have a fishing delay from the creation of the account to actually fishing. From personal experience, fishing on main character is lame as hell.

Lol makes me glad I'm over here. I was mildy shocked yesterday to find 2 boats having near maxed sinking price but then the next 2 were at min. Only time I bother with regular is when it's late on iceday and if I wait for the boat it means I'll have to wait thru thunderday till lightday

Pirate ships have their own prices, its the best way to fill up for the day.

"too small" definitely does not count towards your pull limit.

Well then, perhaps I should just give up on this Cape! All of the anecdotal evidence is hardly conclusive about how much it actually affects skill ups!

Also, 0/115 Shaper's Shawl for anyone who is keeping track of everyone's rates. I noticed a couple people were interested in keeping track. FML
